Did you have a lot of vomiting as a new post op!? I mostly see the teeth issues related to the calcium levels or damage from excessive vomiting?  How about your vitamin d?

Hi, I might suggest a visit to the doc as well. I'm wondering if your pain is gallstones rather than air pockets. Just a thought. Gallstones are pretty universal with wls. Does it ever move around to your back? I had to have mine removed two years after RNY. Most painful thing I've ever felt! Took my breath away. Anyway, something to think about. Hope it works out well for you.

I feel that way about clothes I bought in 2011 and I still wear today.  That is my own miracle since before this I never wore the same size from one season to the next.  I actually have to get rid of clothes because they wear out, not get grown out of.

The only downfall is that while I continue to get new clothes (at thrift stores) I have more clothes than I can possible wear so every year when the seasons change I do my switchover, take the cold weather clothes out and put away the warm weather things, tossing things that I never wear out while I am doing it.

This year, as in the past, I wound up with 3 large yard bags full of clothes that I donated.

I don't really buy clothes as much as rent them.  I get things at the thrift store, wear them for a while and then take them back and get different clothes.

I just had a bone density test (I have one every other year) and I have osteopenia.  I had that about three years after the surgery, but it hasn't progressed any so that's good..  I have had all of the tests that you mentioned except I'm not sure about boron.  I do drink a lot of Propel vitamin water and although it's sugar free it does have some acidity in it to flavor it.  I am now brushing 4 to 5 times a day because I am so worried that I will lose my teeth.

Calcium may be high but until you check PTH and vit D, K2, magnesium, boron, etc you don't know if your body is pulling calcium from your teeth and bones or your absorbing it.

If you have problem with your teeth - maybe it is time to also check your bones? Bones density.

If the bones are ok - maybe your diet - more acidic, contributes to the teeth decay..

I know i like more acidic  drinks and food, and i need to make sure i rinse my teeth very well after that.

Intesteed to hear what you find out...my teeth ahve been super senisitve but dentist said use ACT mouthwash and sensodine, it seems to be working  Good luck

Has anyone had problems with their teeth after 10 years?  I have never missed a vitamin or supplement and I'm faithful with y follow up.  My calcium levels show up normal.  I was negligent and missed my dental appointments for the last two years due to a problem with my dentist.  I have gone to two dentists so that I have two opinions.  Both agree that I have only 2 teeth that don't have cavities.  Some of the teeth have two or three cavities.  I just had 5 crowns put on y upper front teeth and I'm still looking at between $6,00-$7,000 in dental work.  I've never had problems with my teeth before.  Both dentists suggest it's from the RNY surgery

Hi Julie. I am so sorry to hear about your troubles. I am a newbie. I just had surgery on October 10, 2014. My suggestion is to go back to the beginning. Follow your pre-op eating plan...the liquid diet or one of your post-op plans. What you need to do is break the cycle so you can get back on track. Be sure to keep your food diary and start walking until you can get up to 30 minutes a day. Stay encouraged, Julie, and continue to fight and reach out for support. We are all pulling for your success. Lydia

Eating the wrong things will not help you.

When i try to break a cycle of eating the wrong foods i make sure i have good foods at home and eat threat l the time: baked chicken, pork roast, steak, cold cuts (no sugar added) fish, eggs...then add low carbs veggies like cucumbers, greens, salads, green beans, NSA pickles...etc.

First few days i would eat as much as i need not to be hungry.... Then when my body is used to proteins and veggies, i can limit portion limiting calories...

I add healthy fats, bacon, coconut oil, Olive oil, avocado, etc, and limited qty of nuts...(1serving in salad as a little crunch ).

That what works for me.
