Doctors are like sorority girls - they like to blame one another!

Sometimes, as you age, your tooth enamel is worn or thinned. This is especially true if you've been hooked on carbonated soda (especially diet soda) or if you have dry mouth or had suffered with significant GERD.

Let me make it easy for you. STOP WORRYING!

I've recently been through endoscopy myself and I too was panicked, but it is NOTHING. They give you Fentanyl and you go to sleep and don't remember a thing. Then you wake up, get a glass of apple juice and you're sent home with your driver.

My throat wasn't even sore. The whole thing takes under 15 minutes from start to finish and you'll just feel rested and relaxed when its over.

STOP WORRYING!

Ocs. Have your doctor prescribe ometprazole for the awful heartburn and burning of throat and throwing up in your sleep. The only thing they works for me. Mine is 40mg.

Endoscopic usually won't find them. I had 5 and they only found my two when my gastric bypass serge on ordered a upper CT and lower Pelvic CT. The two fitsculas allow food from your pouch going to enter your large stomach and that food goes through you small intestine. The small intestine is what soaks up fat and calories which is why you are gaining wright, terrible smelling stinkers and gurgling in stomach. My post is located on wks graduates wks id titled 'two holes'. Let me know when the you Cincy it. We can help each other on this! I need a friend who can relate. Oh yeah, they had me drink 2 large glasses of barroom before CT. Hugs! Heres my email: Neeceelyn@ yahoo.com

I can't find your post, can you point in me in the right direction? What tests did you have done to find yours? I keep thinking with all the tests they've done they should have seen it if I have one. My doctor says they won't know for sure what is going on until they go down with a camera. I'm going to see a nutritionist tomorrow. I will admit that the combo of prilosec and zantac have stopped the burning and churning for the most part. I'd love to hear your story!! You can private message me if you like.

I'm headed to the nutritionist for my first visit since being 6 months post op. We PCS'd 6 months after my surgery and I haven't seen a nutritionist since. My doctor did mention trying the bento boxes. I think that might help with my portion control and I do need to make better choices. I need to plan my meals again because if I'm standing in front of the fridge hungry I'm not making good choices.

Wow it looks wild when you do the math!! Thanks Laura!!!

please check out my post. A fitsula is a hole in your pouch where food is going into your old stomach. I have the same signs you have. Exactly. I have gained almost 70 pounds.I have two of them.

Topic: two holes!

Hi Everyone! I just created this account so I could possibly find others who have had RNY and experienced holes from their pouch into my old stomach. My original surgery was Dec 17 2002. I weighed in at 430 lbs. I lost a total of 267 lbs and was very happy and healthy. Breast cancer struck and problems began. I developed 2 ulcers in my pouch and was put on omeprazole  every morning. I underwent 5 endoscopics to open the scar tissue that was blocking my connection. After the last one about 6 yrs ago I started gaining weight. Slowly at first then it rapidly increased over the last 3 yrs.  I am now at 243 lbs. My oncologist recommended I contact  my bariatric surgeon but he had since retired. They assigned me a new doctor and he ordered a upper CT and a pelvic CT. I went to see him Wed for the results. He drew me a diagram and explained my pouch has two different holes emptying food into my old stomach. They are scheduling my surgery date asap and I should know by the next week when they will take me in. He isn't sure until he gets n there whether he can repair or if he will have to use some other part of my stomach and reconnect. Either way it will be dangerous and me being 57 yrs old doesn't help matters.

Looking for input from anyone who has had this problem. Support is so important now. I'm a big chicken. Thanks ya all.

Topic: What does full feel like? And where?

Yay! I'm 5 days post RNY and feeling better every day. I don't feel anything that I recognize as "full" but I'm not hungry. I think the pouch is near my lower left ribcage? I'm feeling something down there. Anyway I would appreciate some help knowing what it feels like when I feel full.

My lower rib area on both sides is still sore, and I have a bruise at my lower left incision, but I think it's going away. All normal, right?

Gaining 43 pounds in 3 years is only an extra 137 calories a day. Are you weighing and/or measuring your portions and tracking your food? Exercise will not overcome bad eating. Track your food and go from there.

I hope they get your health issues resolved soon. You can do this!!
