He never had me go off them. All my labs were perfect except iron so he said just keep doing what you are doing and we'll get the level back up and watch it so labs every 2-3 months for a year.

Hope you get back in norm range too :)

Topic: Update.. 2 years post rny. Reaching out. New pictures :)
Update! I've been gone awhile. crazy how life gets in the way.. Almost 2 years out heading out for my appointment next week, I started June 2012 at 276 lbs and surgery December 17 at 235.. My lowest was 154 in November 2013 then I sit now (November 2014) at 160-165. I understand the weight loss but I now want to lose fat. I have belly fat (not skin) to get rid of and would love some tips to shed some pounds. I've minimal eating issues other than with gluten and sugar (don't eat wheat products d/t severe pain and swelling but not celiac and sugar d/t extreme hypoglycemia). Any help would be appreciated !! How are yall doing??? Here are some updated pictures too! can't wait to hear from everyone ❤️

I'm almost 8 years out and I also needed infusions. My hematologist isn't telling me to go back to oral supplements. My infusions were in Feb of this year. Shelly, what's your hematologist recommending you do? Are you back to supplements?

Topic: RE: Charlie Horse feeling in the stomach

I was trying to post my own..sorry, I'm new to this...I googled Charley Horse in stomach also because for the past 6months I have been having severe pain..It first started when I was in a bent down position It was the worse pain..I thought it was my appendix, I could barely get up and I tried walking it off, thought I was ok then bent down again and the pain continued...I had to drive home in pain for an hour and stop several times...I thought that was weird so I chalked it up to some real bad gas..took some gas ex and felt ok but really sore in the stomach for the next several days. about 3ms later I had a full on attack, I did have a pain killer that day and it was hot outside and I was bending alot doing things for a yardsale...I started to feel sick with a migrane, then I sat down with a towel on my head and bowl and vomited...had to jump up because the vomiting triggered the most horrible attack all over my stomach. My sister called the ambulance and they told me I had a cyst on my ovary and it would need further testing. They intially thought it would need surgery then after further testing decided to put me on birth control...I had several tests...I argued with my doctor because I said there is no way that could be causing me so much pain...and I felt it was coming from somewhere else. What am I suppose to just wait till I'm in excrusciating pain and it happens again...I don't want it to happen again. I'm thinking of removing that ovary just as a precaution. The pain generally was on my right side, well lately it has moved to my left side also and almost anytime I bend over now I start getting it...I'm wondering if it is something with my colon or intestine..I'll be going back to a different doctor for answers...I have never had by-pass surgery but i'm just heavy and I do think my weight has something to do with it.

Found ya:) I will let you know what happens with my EGD. I've had the barium and whatever the stuff is they put in the iv, I had it done at the ER. I couldn't go potty so I went and they did that test to make sure I didn't have an obstruction. I also had xrays done at the clinic (we are military). I swear I felt like a hypo because NONE of the tests were showing anything. I am currently on prilosec (was put on Friday) and Zantac (put on last Thursday). I think they are helping with the burning and churning. I had to make a food journal for my nutritionist and I was not impressed with my eating:( I am not making good choices but I am getting in ALOT more exercise.

At 5 days post-op, you're still healing from having all of your nerves severed.  You can't trust your stomach for anything, since it's a liar.  You're also unlikely to feel any sense of fullness until you're eating solid foods.

This is why it's super important to weigh and measure everything you eat right now, since you don't have any reliable signals to listen to and you don't want to damage yourself by overeating.
