Great news! I'm so glad to hear you are making plans on how you can fight the portion control! Planning ahead makes all the difference for me and I know it will do the same for you. Girl, thanks. I really feel good knowing that I did something good for someone else. It also makes me wanna keep going too! Those small hills are big mountains, you know...
I owe you a HUGE thank you for helping me realize that it's not a mountain I have to climb, but a tiny little hill to get back on track. You know how you can talk to a thousand people but just one person says something that really hits home?? I haven't felt this positive in a while:)

Nice to meet you Jamie! I'm April. I am more prepared mentally because of your advice. Thank you so much!
Okay so this morning I ordered a few workout dvd's, Bento type boxes, and some Chike protein. I feel like I'm getting my determination back Need to figure out a plan for cooking small protein meals and filling my boxes a day ahead. I am totally grab n go:)
My name is Jamie btw...lol. Sorry bout that...man it's great to talk to someone who totally gets it!!
Ooops, forgot to mention they will send you home in a binder and that thing will be your best friend for a few weeks~ I can't remember how long you have to wear it but keep that in mind when your out shopping. I picked up a few pair of jogging pants because buttoning and zipping will not be fun:( The binder looks awful and makes you feel straight as a board but it is so comforting to your incision. I also slept downstairs on our loveseat for awhile, it was close to the bathroom. I didn't want to walk anymore than necessary for the first 3 or 4 days.

What a big help to know all of this and especially about the pillow! I need to go to Wal Mart this weekend and get me some big pants because I have one pair at home but I don't think they are comfortable enough for this kinda thing and a big size shirt. The pillow info is great to know!!!
Yes, I emptied my mom's drains when she had hers done recently; I remember they are kinda awkward. But, it's a small price to pay to be able to feel what you say about being able to wear pants without feeling like you have a rear in the front!!!
i have never had the diarhea either, more constipation . But I still suffer from dumping if I havent had anything in my stomach and eat something with sugar. If I go a long time without eating, I cant keep it down. Usually happens on SUndays because I tend to not eat breakfast, and so when I do eat..I get the foamies and up it comes. Ill drink something hot to calm everything down.
I started the pain episodes about a year ago, but the doc thought it was just constipation, but since they have increased and I dont have that problem much anymore,,we think its the RNY. I go tomorrow to find out, then have an appointment with the bariatric office later.
Ill keep ya all posted.
