I track everything that I eat in MFP (username ashleydillo - I have my food diary open) and I only eat when I am hungry. Often, it will be the afternoon before I have my first meal. If I am still really not hungry, I will protein shake it up. I always aim to hit my protein goal, even if it means using shakes and I never go above 20g total carbs. I am not afraid of healthy fats and use full fat dairy. I do not stress calories. This is what works best for me. I am also sedentary and haven't exercised at all. Old habits die hard and I am just lazy and unmotivated to move regularly. But it just goes to show weight loss and maintenance can be achieved by diet alone!

My Dr does a full panel every time and tests for everything us bariatric patients need to be checked on.. not just the stuff "normal" people need. I have made a few adjustments over time to account if anything is low and get re-checked again. I also keep up with the research and re-check my numbers after she has checked and written her notes for me. She deals with a lot of bariatric patients herself so she stays up on the latest. I know that not all surgeons perform the RNY the same way or bypass the same amount of intestines which can account for different needs for different people. My friend had the same surgeon and she is 11 years out without any issues.
I will definitely ask him next time I see him and see if he has any former patients experiencing issues. I keep in contact with the bariatric coordinator for our local hospital on a regular basis and will ask her as well, she has not mentioned anything and we talk a few times a month.

Flintstones are a bad choice. They do not have everything we need. You don't even save money by taking them since you actually need to take 4 a day so I don't see the point.

I had surgery 2007, I take 2 flinstones every day and never am low on anything :-)
Never am low on anything - that they are testing...You may be a special case.... but I have seen results of people who claimed not be low on anything .. only to find out that the doc just checked a few items.. not all that can be too low - too high. and some of the numbers deemed to be "OK" were bit low based on latest studies.. .
some of long term "veterans" who took Flintstones as per docs order - deal today with rickets, osteopenia.. and permanent nerve damage... that occurred because of years "low normal" levels..
some damage can be reverse - some can't..
I do hope you area special case and your body can absorb all minerals and vitamins from food and Flintstones..

I hope so. I am trying to lose about 30 regained pounds. I had a baby and made some pretty bad eating choices. But I'm hoping to lose this regain before I add any more.

Accepting the post-WLS body is not easy... you had to deal with being overweight, did something about it.. worked hard lost weight and now you have all this skin to live with. I felt it was unfair.. I wanted to be "normal" and not worry about flapping arms and sagging belly. Its not easy to come to terms with but my feeling was Id rather deal with the excess skin then dealing with being overweight and all that came with it. We are much harder on ourselves than others... I know you don't like the flapping skin but I am sure your husband doesn't feel the same way you do.. I would definitely recommend finding somebody to speak with to help you accept your post-WLS and learn to be proud of all you have accomplished losing weight.
I have worked a 2nd job since right after surgery and saved up to have PS.. wish I had started sooner. 3 years ago I had an extended TT, this past July I had a BA/BL and arm lift.... next year (hopefully) will be surgery on my legs.... I will say it has 110% made such a difference in how I feel about myself and my self esteem... the TT gave me a little, but the BA/BL and arm lift have shot me thru the roof... work working 50-60 hours a week for so long.

Hell I am 10 years post op my start weigh was 355 then my lowest was 170. Between 2009 and 2013 I had 5 pregnancies so I am finally done with that. However after each baby I bounced back to around 195-200 however I got up to 230 a few months ago. Currently I am eating 3 meals a day focusing on protein only water no more sodas no sweets and drastic reduction in carbs. I know when I stick to it I can lost about 10-15 lbs in a month. Do you have any more pointers from your loss. I would appreciate it.

Gwen, thank you for this list. It gave me specifics to look for. I cannot find phosphorus listed on the back of my multi bottle, but everything else seems to be there. Thanks again.
