I don't have a rny but have read that some do have acid reflux which I have been told you can't. I have also seen some post that they did have the pouch and old stomach grow with a fissure between them. It does happen. You would need to talk to the doc about testing.
Ihad RNY in November 2001. For a while I have been experiencing acid reflux. I thought the new pouch does not create acid. I'm thinking that my pouch somehow reopened to my old stomach. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
If you've been having diarrhea and cramping for 5 days, yes, you should go to the doctor.

Hi. Long time no post :) I'm 8 years out. Had an ulcer pop from a staple 2 years ago and am doing ok now. I recently ate some activia thinking, "it can't hurt" and figured it was good for me. I have been sick for 2 weeks. Gas, cramps, the big "D". I stopped eating it after about a week but it has been about 5 days and I still have cramps and D. Has anyone else had this experience? Should I have not eaten it? Should I go to the Dr? Ugh!!!!!
Thanks.
I had RNY in 2001, but haven't had the same issue. How did your appointment go?
