I lost about 140 pds in a year after Gastric Bypass (1.5 yrs out). I look ten year's older due to saggy skin on my face. Will this improve on its own over time or is plastic surgery my only hope?
No, I'm in south TX and turn off the a/c when hubby's not home. But I also am really enjoying using my new ice shaving machine lol.
Congrats on losing a lot of your regain! That's great! You are right..I need to remind myself of all of this. Protein, water and veggies #1. I've got to quit with the sugars like you said before. I've got to start paying closer attention to food labels as well.
Thanks so much for the encouraging words! I know that I can do this..I just have to do it!
I've got to start logging my water intake again.
This is a great suggestion! Thanks.
Here are my 5:
25 jumping jacks
25 squats
25 burpees (these I absolutely hate so it should be a good deterrent.)
drink half a bottle of water

Yes! We need to hold each other accountable. Let's do this. I did get up and do my little 30 minute workout this morning and stretched. This is a start! I eat really good during the day- during the week. The challenge for some reason is when I go home.
You are so right re: the water! I tend to overeat on days I have neglected my water intake!
But wait! I live in south Florida and it's 90 degrees outside!
Is anyone else cold most of the time? No, I'm not cold outside, but indoors I often have to wear a light sweater. We live in A/C most the time and I just wonder if my sensitivity could be a low iron thing. (I'm older than many of you, at 59, so never took iron supplements). Or are others just "missing" our old insulation of fat and feel chilly easily too?
I know this is easier said than done, but you can do it! Make a list of five things you have to do before you snack, then if you are still hungry drink a glass of water. Wait some time and if you still feel hungry then eat a healthy snack you have already prepared for these occasions. I made a list of things to do like start a load of laundry, take a 15 minute power walk, log into this website for at least fifteen minutes, take a hot shower, or a power nap. These usually distract me. Sometimes I have to do several things before I can tell myself I am not really hungry just bored. Hope this helps. I am 13 years post op RNY and regained due to steroids and poor eating habits. This helped me.
