There's a post in the RNY forum every day where people share what they're eating. That might be useful for you!

Hi everyone! Goodness I haven't visited this site since right after my RNY 16 years ago. Like other people I have gained 45 unwanted pounds back! I have been eating a very limited number of foods for the last 3 weeks and am looking for some ideas from people that are many years post op. This is what I've been eating:
B- coffee (can't make it without it) 1 hard boiled egg, 1/4 cup plain oatmeal and 1/2 banana
L- 3 oz grilled chicken & 1/2 - 3/4 cup steamed or roasted veggies
D- Same as lunch
NO SNACKS and tons of Vitamin Water Zero and water with Crystal Light
I do not drink with meals and wait 1 & 1/2 hours afterward to have a beverage
The first 10 days I lost 11 pounds! Last week and a half -ZERO
Just curious what you all eat and what foods and amounts have worked for you in getting off any regained weight.
Thank you in advance!
55 years young and 10 months since my surgery, I am almost always cold. I used to be the person in the room that was always warm. Lucky that I live in sunny California so there is usually some sun out to warm me up. I can really relate to the Cat sitting in the sunny window to warm up!
I am in the same place. My surgery was in 2010 but this past year I have put on 30 pounds. What is wrong with me? I worked too hard to lose a little over 200 pounds. I do not want to go back.
Thank you for posting. I'm going back to protein first & water.
I had forgot how much support there is at this website.
I am certainly no expert but from what I have read the issue is kidney stones. Because f the way our bodies now absorb protein we are at a higher risk for stones. One article suggested less red meat and surprisingly nuts can counter the effect of a lot of protein.
I think I need to do more reading on this to really understand it. It seems that if after 10 years of protein forward diet you have no issues you are obviously doing something right
Had a Petersen's hernia it is awful pain... was admitted thru the ER had hernia repair surgery and no more pain.
I just started today, I am trying Plexius for a month. Planning my exercise program to start tomorrow, thank you for asking :) How are you doing?
I too have gained weight & also feel like the failure. I have started back on track with new goals & commitments!
