Thank you for the encouragement. In addition to getting back to encourage other VSG_ers, my brother had his surgery right after Christmas so we are teaming up for combined success. I can't wait for him to be as happy as I am that we do this for ourselves. Continued success to you. Enjoy this new chapter in your life!

So sorry to hear about your losses. Praying for peace. It is so easy to fall back into the past of doing things that put the weight on us; I know all to well how that works. It does sound like you are putting things into focus and starting to work on YOU! So proud of you for making that step. Reaching out for help is the best thing any of can do; I just reached out for fellow re-gainers to help (I am hoping someone does). Wishing you the very best and keeping you in my thoughts.

Good Morning Peeps! I am hoping 2019 proves to be the year that I get under 200lbs. I am a graduate of the RNY from Aug 2012 and I had originally lost 157lbs; regained 75lbs; have lost down to 9lbs. since Christmas. My boyfriend got me a Versa Fitbit because I was wanting to get healthier and wanted to track my sleep. I put a ticker on here that I only wanted to lose to 250lbs (cause that seems less daunting than the total amount I want to lose....I can always readjust that end goal). But, I need some accountability and support and that is where you all come in.....I think a lot of us have regained some weight and would love to get it off again. How about it? Wanna make 2019 that year that we do it?????

Oh my; that would have scared me, too. My Iron tanked at one point (where it was so low that it didn't read as if I had any). I, too, had to have Iron IV's for five weeks in a row and then the Iron showed when tested; although very low. It is something that I have not gone back to get checked; but it's 2019 and I think I need to get back on track with my Labs, back to eating better, back to losing some of this re-gain (preferably all of it), and getting more movement in my day. Looks like many of us have had some regain. I would love to have someone to bounce ideas off (that understands what RNY is and how it affects me on a daily basis). The support group here in NY is quite a distance from me and since I work four 10 hr days; not convenient for me to attend. I want to join this fight for our weight to be gone and getting our water, vitamin, and movement under control once again! WHO wants to start and how do we all get started....I AM IN!!!!!!

would you consider making your own, or have a friend who cooks do it? (what I need!)

I have good protein powder, I can get fresh ground almond butter at the grocery (they have a machine) and so I can control all ingredients. there are video how tos..looks like stevia and similar are used, for sweetness.

Hi, I'm back on here as well, I'm 15 yrs post-op. I've gained about 30ish pounds during this time and I'm super scared of not taking action. I can eat pretty much everything in smaller quantities but I'm still eating way more than when I first had surgery. I think since we were "told" to snack at the beginning to get our protein, my portions are bigger but the snacking has remained. Clearly I can eat my protein on my 3 meals. Has anyone stopped snacking all together at a certain point after surgery and seen results?
