I am struggling as well. I am 7 years out and have gained 32 pounds :****pt saying I would not gain any more weigh and would not buy bigger clothes but I did. I am only 5'2 so every ten pounds is a size. I need to get back on track. Hope you are doing well.
I am thinking of doing a different version of low carb so I can do a protein shake in the morning with fruit and vegetables. Also need to get off my butt and get moving.
Best of luck :)

Lost my original password as well. RNY 1/5/2004. Highest weight - 221 (5 feet). Lowest initial weight 125 after just under a year. gradually increased over the years (marriage and 2 kids later) to max of 162 in January of 2014. Since that time, started losing without really trying or exercising and currently 114 (size 0-1 juniors). Not really sure why but just started not being able to eat as much kind of like initially after surgery. The only other thing was I have been on acarbose to prevent RH.
What is the 5 day pouch test? I need try something to get back on track. Thanks😊
Overall my experience with my surgery has been fabulous. I have maintained my weight loss, but now I have started to lose more weight and I am not sure why. I hate to even say this but I am actually to skinny. I am really worried. Any thoughts?
I had my surgery about ten years ago. I quit taking my supplements, though I still use protein powder. I was feeling awful earlier this year. I had arm tingling, was exhausted all the time. I went to my PCP. During the visit I admitted that I had not taken supplements for a couple of years. A lot of my levels were low. The worst was my ferritin level. It was 4 (the acceptable range is 20-288. I was very anemic. I worked hard for the next two months to get my levels up. There are guidelines for postoperative supplements at https://asmbs.org/resources/integrated-health-nutritional-gu idelines
The information that I liked best from the posting are the notes under table 5. It says: "progress to whole tablet/capsule as tolerated". It also says to avoid time release or enteric coated vitamins/supplements. I have been fighting the chewables all along. I am going out to buy capsules this weekend.
Good luck,
Jayne
I have just recently been back here as well. I had my surgery in 2009. I have maintained my weight at 130 for all these years, even got to 125 for a year, but now I am up to 140. I refuse to let it creep back on, so here I am, back on the wagon! :)

2006 Same name. Good for you for returning and your re-commitment to your health. Support and staying connected is so important IMHO. Best wishes!!
P.S. Try not to look at goal weight... just make the best choices you can make each day... obesity is a chronic disease, no finish line, just healthy choices, rinse, lather, repeat ;)
It sure does. So easy to follow. It takes me back years ago when we couldn't eat that much but get full

Low B12 will bring on tingling. Unfortunately, having low B12 over a long period of time can cause permanent nerve damage. Once the damage is done, no amount of B12 will fix it. At least taking your B12 now will ensure that it doesn't worsen.
Low Ferritin levels can cause pain, tingling and restless leg syndrome.
I would try to at least get a full panel of lab work done prior to your appointment. Maybe your PCP will order that for you so that when you do get to your appointment you will have something to go on.
Are you able to see a different doctor sooner? Can you go to an urgent care facility?
