Hi, I am 13 years out from my band. I started at 270 and have lost 110 and regained 20. I am still happy. I will get rid of those last 20 lbs. Mona

You are a man of little words.  Hard to have any thoughts with so little information.

You had your stoma tightened as some point so that means you needed a revision due to a gain?  And now you are losing again and too much??  Go and have a full physical with your GP.  Include every blood test you can think of.  I mean are you losing without any adjustments to your diet or activity levels.  That would be a problem.

All best,

Layla

Thanks for sharing, Zebra: I've recently got off track (over two year period) and regained 30 lbs.) and now getting back to post-surg eating regimen.

Increase your calories. Maybe eat more often.

If you feel you eat enough - a trip to the doc is recommended. Hyperthyroid -overactive thyroid may cause unexplain weight loss...

I was drinking the Premiere protein and stopped but I will go back. I suffer with constipation which make me feel sluggish! Any suggestions? Thx for answering me! I really want to lose 20 pounds

Paige I have experienced occasional low blood sugar - no fun!

It sounds like you have two good solutions right in your post. First - get your protein in. Protein is our fuel. You've got a lot going on in life and your body is dealing with the fibromyalgia on top of it all. Treat yourself well - fuel your body. Commit to doing that today - it's more important than I can say.

Exercise is something that I have slacked off badly in recent months - change in my routines, blah blah blah. No excuse, just not doing it. I can tell you what I know (in my head!) to be true....that if we just do something small every day and take small steps in the right direction, it will help. Have 10 minutes to walk? Do it. I'm a pro at making excuses because (1) I prefer going to a workout class, (2) The class has to be one I like, (3) The one I like is only offered while I'm at work, (4) The other one I like after work means I don't get home till late....you get the message.

But anyway. Get the protein needs covered pronto!

Then go to green veggies.

A little fruit.

Purge the refined carbs - they are never good news.

Drink your water and take your vitamins.

It's not revolutionary stuff. The consistency is the hardest part.

That will get you started in the right directions.

I am having trouble with lightheaded ness. Low blood sugar! I have gained 20 pounds back because of not exercising regularly, stress with taking care of sister and ex husband new job assignment, fibromyalgia and neck pain? Any suggestions. I know that I am not getting enough protein! Help!

Topic: RE: Charlie Horse feeling in the stomach

Hi there,

New to the site and curious if anyone has had any breakthroughs on the horrible 'charlie horse' type pain in the abdomen?

I had RnY 2.5 years ago. I've maintained a weight loss of 110+ lbs and have had a multitude of surgeries following RnY. (Appendix, gallbladder, hernia (twice)). However, for over the last year when I bend or engage my abdominal muscles I get this paralyzing pain that bulges out about 2" above my belly button and about an inch or two to the left. The bulge (twisting, feels like someone is gripping my interiors) lasts anywhere between 1 min to 5 min or longer.

My gastric dr has had me do CT scans, upper GI's, X-rays, exploratory surgery and nothing has been found at the place this happens to me. I'm now going to be scheduled for a barium enema and if that shows nothing a colonoscopy.

I attempted to show my dr this site, sharing that others experience the same issues but haven't found resolution or at least from what I've read.

If anyone has any feedback etc. I'm desperate to hear it, please share!

Thank you!

It's a challenge, but we have what we need to get us there. Moving is the best thing we can do. I think for me, moving is more of a discipline issue than even controlled eating.  I do many different types, but the short ten minute bursts of high impact does me better, I would rather do 10 minutes of intense than 40 minutes of low intensity.

We are here for each other. I know I'm not terrifically interesting, but we all need support.

im here for you.

What did you do to loss the weight again? I need to do something to get the 32 pounds I gained back off.  I am a little over 7 years out.

Any information would be great.
