Plastics HMO or PPO?

Hi all, I am starting to work on the plastic surgery issue. We are about to have open enrollment on our insurance which means now is the time to change if you are gonna. I am wondering how many of you out there had an easier time getting the plastics approved with a PPO verses a HMO? I know under the insurance we have now it must be considered " medically necessary". I dont think that will be a problem. I just dont want all the hassle I had to go through for my RNY with the HMO. They gave me a hard time and now they dont pay for that surgery at all any more. Anyway, just comparing and trying to decide what will be better in the long run, and wondering what you alls experience has been. I have always had an HMO. Lisa Spiker Tucson AZ 364/214/160
