26 year post-op picture/story
People often ask about long term WLS patients and how they are doing. I've known Janelle since 1981. She had bypass surgery when it was not nearly as progressive or popular as it is now. She has struggled, like most post-ops, with maintaining and has joined weigh****chers more than once during all those years, but seems to stay within about 20 pounds of her lowest weight most of the time. She's a vibrant, beautiful, healthy woman, and older than most of us (so I'm thinking she's a great example). My surgeon works in the same practice that her surgeon still leads.
