bye bye gallbladder!
Ok, its gone! I only spent one night in the hospital and they let me go early because my pain was so minimal. I am home now and actually getting some much needed rest... of course I did not get any sleep in the hospital.
I am not allowed to do much until my surgeon releases me, like not picking up anything over 15 pounds and the worse... no driving!
I will call his office tomorrow to make my follow up appointment.
At least for now, the pain that I do have is less then before it was removed.
AND I got to be home for Easter.

greetings donna
i, too, had my GB taken out last week. when i had my rny, it was done open, so this was my first experience at laproscopic surgery. what a treat! i was only in the hospital for 5.5 hours, have no restrictions from the doc, and feel wonderful! it's amazing.
hope your recovery goes smoothly!

Hey Donna ... glad to hear everything went well. The surgeon I met with last week wanted to take mine out this week ... I said NO WAY. It's "tentatively" scheduled for May 5th, but I'm thinking I need to pu**** back to June (can you tell I really don't want to do this?) ...
Just curious, what were your symptoms that your gallbladder was causing you probs?
Anyway, glad you're home ... I was thinking about you all weekend!!
