Holy Canoli Lei! With all that blood work they've GOT to find out what the problem is! As our friend Jay frequently reminds us, we're kind of the experimental group - this big chunk of people who've had WLS and as we get further out we'll see what the long-term problems are. I think there will also be long-term solutions - keep the faith girl! Ever optimistic, Bette

I think I had 10 vials drawn at my last appointment, some from my WLS surgeon and some from my endocrinologist. I was contemplating asking her to put a needle in both arms to get them drawn faster. good luck on your results, Sue O.

Thank you for this post & for the reminder to take our vitamins. I admit that I am guilty of forgetting. I had to respond though because I looked at your profile. It's been awhile & I saw something new that we have in common- the belly button piercing! I had mine done about a month ago & I love it. The only difference is mine is aquamarine. My friends either think I'm crazy or aplaud me for doing it. You see I'm a 55 year old grandmother. What do I need a pierced belly button for? No one is going to see it except me & my husband & he isn't all that inpressed by it. But I love it & it makes me feel good about my flat tummy. I just tell everyone it's a result of a midlife crisis. Please keep us informed about your tests. I'm seeing an endocrinologist in a couple weeks to help me figure out a few things. I suspect she'll be draining my veins too. Dixie

Lei- Day-ummmm Gal! Sorry to hear it. I'm Proximal with some "extras" removed due to complications. So I've been a worry-wart all along. But, I have a PCP and a Bariatric Surgeon and a Cardiologist all Sort of competing to out test the others. The PCP and the Cardiologist seem to be suspicious of WLS long-term studies So they test the hell out of me And My Bariatric Guy, (since I'm his one Complication ever) Brings me in more often than typical to make sure nothing happens to me again. All 3 of these doc work in the same hospital so the flow of info from one to the other Is pretty great. They (at my request) fax one another all of my work ups. I'm tested once a month by someone tryin to head off any symptoms. So far, so good. I'm sort of "chief lab rat" for these folks. Interested to hear what tests you had been missing out on So I can compare it to mine. Every time I even get the flu, they all jump to the conclusion that It must be something to do with mal-absorption. Sort of like back when "Your Over Weight" was the diagnosis for anything That didn't involve a gaping, bleeding wound. Hope you get back up and going with all your chemistry there soon. So sorry to hear the crap you are dealing with. Keep us posted! Best Wishes- Dx

Lei, I'm really looking forward to your report. I too have been lax about keeping a flow chart on ALL my numbers. There have been some that were more important than others to me, but you are right...we are uncharted territory and need to be more diligent. Thank you for all your hard work that will make all of our lives easier. Pat

Hey Lei...good to see your smiling face...I just hope that things can be rectified with you and for sure I have never missed my supplements in nearly 4 years with the exception when I have been in the hospital and that is only for a couple of days at a time. I am interested and will check back in to see what is popping with you!
