You've gained muscle mass, which weighs more than fat but takes up less space than fat. That's why you weigh the same but have lost inches. It's actually a very good thing. Muscle burns more calories than fat, even during periods of rest. You want your muscle mass to increase. If you're in a size 6, then you're doing great! If you are meant to lose any more, just be patient and it will start coming off again. Hope that helps, Lily

Correction my dear 5 lbs of muscles = 5 lbs of fat, however muscle does take up less space. Mary

Frankly, if I wore a size 6, I wouldn't give a rip what i weighed! But I understand what you're saying--you're frustrated, even with the "muscle allowance," that your weight hasn't dropped some. It just sounds like your calories must be pretty much balanced out w/ your exercise. Just keep in mind that the benefits from exercising far outweigh the fact that the scale hasn't moved. Your body has obviously changed, and that's way more important than the number. Jo

According to your profile, your BMI is in the normal range. Are you sure you need to lose more weight? A size 6 is pretty awesome. I agree with the other poster that you are definitely better off with more muscle even though your weight hasn't changed. Just my humble opinion. Connie -147#
