It is good to be home.
Hi all,
I just got home tonight from a wonderful week on a cruise. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was. The entire family had a blast. I do not think I gained weight. I was semi-careful with my eating. I did not want to ruin the trip being sick. I tried a few things I would normally avoid but it worked out just fine. I am sure snorkling burned off a few calories! I missed reading on the boards so much but I just could not justify the cost of using the net on ship.

No, no, I'm not jealous at all!!! Just cuz I'm sitting here in a lonely hotel room in my pjs recovering from a very successful tt..... really, go ahead and talk about the snorkling, the food, a week on the seas ...while it's all I can do to go down to the ice machine all bent over like a little (little being the key word) old lady.... But let me ask you this...
How flat is your tummy? lol.... Seriously, glad you had a good trip and I do know how much fun it is to come home!!! I'll be going home in 5 more days... me and my flat tummy!!! At least I have this website to keep me company....
Did I tell you how flat my tummy is.... you could bounce a quarter off it!!!
Welcome home and I really do want to hear all about your trip!!!
PS... nice name...
Laurie - minus 186 lbs!!
super flat tummy
I am the one who is in envy! I am not sure I have the courage for a TT. I do have a hernia so it is still a possibility. Just not ready to jump at it yet!
I do not really know why it scares me. I hate my large tummy so much. Have a safe and speedy recovery. Yes, Laurie is a nice name I like it. I am really Lauretta. Not many people like that one tho!
I have not done much today besides play I am slowly getting out of vacation mode.LOL
Enjoy that new shape of yours!!!!
Laurie
I was petrified of the pain when I had my tt. Truthfully it wasn't all that bad. I took pain pills for 3 days which kept me totally pain free, then I backed off the pain pills and found I didn't even need them.
I pushed myself to get active. By the time I went to the doctor a week after surgery I had walked 3 miles that morning (later learned that wasn't smart but she had not told me not to exercise) and was walking normal. My surgeon was blown away that I sailed through so easily but I truly believe the exercise was the reason I came back so quickly. I was sitting at my desk on day 10 feeling good.
My tt was almost 6 months ago and I'm still thrilled every time I look at my flat tummy. I had a hanging panni for years before wls so this is really a treat for me. The first time I sat at my desk I was amazed to realize I could slide up under the desk to the point that my midriff was actually touching the desk. In the past my tummy kept me a distance from the desk. My tummy is a work of art even with the slight scars that it left.
I'd do it over in a minute with no reservations this time.
Thanks for the TT info. Reality is I have rather large hernia. It does not bother me now but I expect it very well could. I will find some one to do both at the same time! I am just not ready. I know I will have to have my knees replaced. I am still in awe of my new smaller body. My tummy altho disproportionately large is so much smaller now it makes me happy. The family is not supportive of PS and they are usually 101% supportive. So I continue to research and think about it.
