Oh just P'd about the whole deal.... I'm up in Boston for Cinderella in the 2nd week in August. I'm gonna meet up with the folks there this time If it Hair-Lips the Pope! Come on up and it'll be an "Old-azz party!!" You may laugh, but! That - "...suffering millions..." Is a direct quote! Care to play "name the author?" Any one? Oh well. Jane, I would love to finally meet you too - I like your 'direct' style and no bull**** approach in life. My hubby leaves in August, if it's NOT the same weekend that DX is planning on being in town, then you can BET, I will absolutely make a road trip that way. It's not that far, 10 hours, give or take, and I love road trips with the music blaring! It's better than any THERAPY I could pay for! Hey? Maybe we can talk another 'old azz' into flying/coming in, Lynda in FL?? Hey Lynda ....You out there? I know you've been to MA several times, wanna try to hook up in August?

I particularly liked the feb rant about other companies would probably start a failed bariatirc surgery diet, etc. preying on us with their diets and magic pills, and so you better get on track by buying my protein powder so you are not a failure. I wonder if she gets the irony of that.

WOW - no way? She actually apologized???? Aaaaw man, it's probably also snowing in hell, leave it up to me to miss that too! Went out (dinner and dancing) last night and MISSED it all.

I posted a somewhat wry passing shot at it, something about it not passing the sniff test. It was Damage Control 101 by a collection of scalded cats. SM came off as disingenuous. A stiff apology is always worse than the original offense. If you followed the posts on her website, she strutted for the locals about how she's just telling it like it is. Her devotees applauded wildly, begging for more. At the same time, she comes to the MB with a dump truck full of Acts of Contrition. I was surprised by how few people bought into her apology. Usually the gullible folks in the Kiddie Pool gulp down anything. OH came off as complicit in the whole thing. As DX stated it so well, this whole idea of benevolent companies only looking out for our well-being simply rings hollow. I would rather deal with out and out predator than have to watch my back due to my so-called friends. Econ 101. Greed is a more reliable predictor of future behavior than altruism.
