Takes a lot of pruning and weeding to Keep "Disneyland/World" Pretty. The Burned Toast is out of the Toaster all right! But, Whewww! That smell does linger............ She may need to open a window. It is pruning season, isn't it? Of course it's sort of like dropping a ton of feathers (which weighs the same amount as a ton or muscle or a ton of fat) from an airplane and then trying to recover them. I spent the first 22 years of my life in the Air Force; first with my father then my husband. My boss, however, adopted the Bravo Zulu theme to acknowledge employees in his little non-military company he established in the early 70s. (It's that purple and orange airplane company. ) We use to get "Bravo Zulu" awards along with a check. Now we just get a Bravo Zulu certificate so we now call them the "Bravo Zero" awards. DeeDee

I thought it was tactically ill-advised to post an apology, redact the rant, etc, and then pull it all back down again. Pegging it to the top of the board only called more attention to it. Due to the pace of the Main Board, it would have been yesterday's news soon enough. All in all it was not the best week for SM. OH did not come off looking good either. Sometimes the best damage control is do nothing. I often told my sons "If you find yourself in a hole w/ a shovel in your hands, just drop the shovel" I did not realize if or how much I communicated that, but it showed up in some song lyrics my son wrote. Yep, I think the disingenuous apology was intended To feed the herd but ended up just a bit of "Re-Chumming" the waters. It certainly struck me the wrong way. Pardon my mixing my sheep and shark metaphors tonight, But that all seems a little blurred. Our hosts would have us completely buy the notion That we matter as people, but as evidenced by Ms Maria And this site's complicity, it is obvious that we are Link clickers that merely supply the numbers to be a viable Advertising outlet. Revenue, not support is the reason Behind the reason. That's not news. What is new, is the blatancy. I'm curious how the propagandizing veneer of - "We do it all for you" will continue playing to the "herd" Now that so many of the sheep have grown fins and the taste for blood. Susan's mantra has always been so similar to the one here- "The extreme work that has gone into providing This service/these products/this outlet for "the WLS Community..." "...in order to help reach the suffering millions..." Sort of like the extreme devotion that Shell Oil has To making sure that the millions of poor automobile drivers are Provided with the much needed gasoline that would otherwise Be unavailable. The devotion and dedication and concern Shown by the good people of Shell, for us poor drivers? It's amazing! I thank heaven for them. We matter... They've taken up our cause... Oh well. To throw in one more species- We may just be a swarm of flies buzzing around this steaming pile, But I've met a lot of fun flies buzzing around out here. And as one fly said to another- "Hey! So What if it's just crap, It's Free! " Dropping my shovel now! And re-joining the buzzing throng... Your MIND is freakn amazing and I absolutely HAVE to meet you one day - consider yourself on my stalking list, maybe when you head back to MA?!? My hubby's about to turn me into a "Deployment Widow" He'll be gone 10 of the next 12 months. I'll have way too much time on my hands and MA is only a 10 hour drive, besides it's about time I meet Joanne TOO!!
