Here's a link to Henry's speech on the Eve of St Crispin's. It is the source of the phrase "Band of Brothers". http://www.chronique.com/Library/Knights/crispen.htm

Hi Tami,
This is a message from Karen...the no bull ****ter. Let me rephrase my reply to you, as sometimes email words can be read one way but intended to mean something completely different:
Are you ready to commit every ounce of inner strength every minute of every day toward your goal of success?
Can you stay focused and driven despite the challenges and temptations that the world throws your way?
Do you have the support of others or enough of your own stamina to be clear in your sense of purpose while raising small babies?
Is there time in your life to focus completely on you?
I am sorry that you took my reply as mean spirited.

Deciding to have surgery you have to decide if the cons outweight the pros for YOU. The concerns you have may be that the type of surgery you are considering isnt right for you. Alot of people have concerns and fears of the RNY - thats one of the reasons they choose the lapband or another less evasive surery. You might research thoose.
Tamico, I sense you feel a bit bruised for having posted here. Tomorrow will be another day. I wish you nothing but the best as you sift through your heart and consider your options. And I sincerely mean this: let us know what you decide. Which ever path you choose, I hope it leads to a life worth living.

You might want to spend a lot of time reading profiles of people on the boards. I think that would give you more answers than you'd ever get from e-mails we might send you.
Personally I had the surgery at 57 years old. I was unable to stand more than 3 minutes due to pain, taking 5 prescriptions a day and still had horrible blood work. Today I am prescription free and have perfect blood work. Was it all the surgery? No way, this is a lifestyle change. I work out every day between 1-2 hours, carefully weigh the nutritional value of every bite that goes in my mouth and then make a decision on eating or not eating it. I'm not perfect in the eating department but I am aware.
My bone density test showed an increase in bone density one year after surgery........go figure. I am faithful in taking my vitamins/calcium daily and following my surgeons plan.
I love my lifestyle today and wouldn't trade it for anything. Best of luck in making the right decision for you and your children.
