are you at goal?
hi everyone! I was just wondering who is at goal and also who is done with all the afterward plastics and such.
I reached MY goal in July to a weight of 150, my surgeon had given me a goal of about 170 but he never really dwelled on the numbers.
I had two tummy tucks along with two hernia repairs, on were my belly button USED to be, and the other just below the rib cage where my surgeon also shaved off part of the sternum bone that was sticking almost straight out and you could see it through my clothes.
back in January I lost some more weight, I was having a great deal of pain from the are below my ribs where he placed the mesh for the TT and my belly was hard as a rock due to swelling. I lost weight because I wan never hungry and just wanted to sleep though the pain, I got down to 138 at one point and my hubby almost had a cow. I actually wanted to gain some weight and now am maintaining 145 and since the weather is getting nicer, I can resume my daily 3 mile walks.
my starting weight was 277
my lowest weight was 137
my personal goal weight is 145 ( I am there now)

Yes, below actually by 8 pounds, but now that's my new goal!!!
I am currently carrying 5 pounds of water weight and it is sooooo annoying. I feel so full in my tummy.......I have the "muffin-top" that is hanging over my pants, now and I am not as "thin" as I was about a month ago.
When I experienced water weight in the past, it NEVER did this to me. Is this a normal "settling" ? Is is just my body readjusting and morphing? I really hope NOT. I hope that it is the water causing this. I feel extremely bloated. I can hardly suck it in.
WHAT IS UP WITH THIS???
Any advice or suggestions?

I am at someone's goal I am sure...but its not mine! I am about 60 lbs away....You have done a great job! I am not ready for plastics yet. I fear once I go that path that I will have agreed that there is no more coming off this body....I have been maintaining at this weight for sometime now and its getting old. I understand the honeymoon is over but gosh can't a gal get her dream? I am okay with me...just would like more. The normal American girl response. I exercise at least 3 x a week. Sometimes 4 if I can get the time in.
My starting weight was 425.
My lowest and current is 209.
My personal goal is 150
Will I make it probably not...But you can dream right?

I never put a number on my goal. I decided that my goal would be renewed health and the ability to move without pain and losing my breath. Yes I am at goal. I started out as SMO and did not want to be let down if I did not reach a certain number on the scale. My surgeon did not even give me a number to shoot for, I think for the same reason.
I would like to lose another 20 pounds but even if I don't, I still consider myself a success and "at goal". I have not had any plastics, I am not ready to cross that road yet. I do suspect I might have a hernia but at this time (if it is a hernia) it isn't causing any problems.

358/183 and loving life!
Yep,
At Goal! for over 1 year now.
(actually 5 to 6 lbs under depending on day of the week)
And waiting without any patience at all
For my PS (panniculectomy) this Summer!
Started at 385 I'm 6'1" tall
Now at 179 or 180.
Sorry you had such a rough go of it!
Hoping I got mine out of the way on the front-end!(profile)
Best Wishes-

Great job Donna. You sound great. I am now at 203 lbs down from 330. I would like to lose another 40 lbs, but if I don't lose another pound I will be fine. I am so thankful for my new life and that I am so much healthier. I have taken back my life and have slipped free from my fat prison. Next fall I will be seeking PS to have my very ample panni removed. I get incredible skin rashes and some sores from the folds of skin and my PS surgeon says no problem with the insurance company paying. I also have a small hernia to repair.

330/203/16? healthier, happier, sexier, and so thankful
I'm at goal and have been for about six months. No plastics. Not sure I am going to have any this year. Maybe a body lift next year. I don't look bad at all and am quite comfortable with myself. In a size 6-8 and feel wonderful. I stay within 3-4 lbs of my goal. I weigh every day and work out 3-4 times a week. Quite frankly I feel better than I have in 40 years! I'll be 60 in October and I believe the last year has been one of the best in my life. I love being petite! Never thot I would ever say that.
Weight day of surgery 321
weight this a.m. 133
-188 lbs.
Weight prior to final diet 4 months before surgery 357! That is -224 lbs!
