Does This Count Toward My WATER Intake?

Today I tried something fifferent, to try and cut back on my calorie and sugar intake. I made my protein shake with 3 cups of water and 1 1/2 scoops of protein to equal 30 grams of protein. Now, can I count this protein drink as 24 oz of water toward my daily water intake? I am hoping the answer is yes. Hugs Marianne

yes, you can count ANY water added to anything as part of your daily fluid intake Now if you bought a premade (canned) protein shake, only about 55 to 65% of that counts toward your fluids. HTH, Toots

I don't think so because coffee is a diuretic (makes you pee).

You can count anything that DOES NOT have caffeine. Caffeine is a diuretic and not only should you not count those fluids, but you have to double whatever you drink to make up the difference. For example 8 oz of coffee, must increase your daily fluid intake by 16 oz. Bummer I know. Don't shoot the messenger. Smiles, Sore butt Melinda
