The good part is that you CAN indeed stop. Just stop. Think of where you have come from and where you want to be. Then just stop. Remind yourself of why you had this surgery and then refocus and just stop. Easy? No. Attainable? Yes! I'm talking to us both, BTW Angie

Manda - I am right there with you. I actually prefer to eat nothing all day and then cram in 1500 calories from 3:00pm until I go to bed. My trainer told me that was a no no because then I'm trying to burn up alot of calories while I'm sleeping and not being active. So I've had to try another strategy - front loading my calories. You know what it requires? Self - Discipline. Yep, it sucks, but eventually we are just like any other normal person who can eat and drink in excess. Even naturally thin people must deny self when it comes to food or they wouldn't continue to stay thin. This is going to be a life long struggle. Surgery gave us a tool to help us get thinner and healthier. Unfortunately, it didn't fix us for life. For the rest of our lives we will have to make healthy choices - the right foods and exercise. No one is perfect, we will all slip up. Just remember that you are worth it. And no one can do it for you. So do whatever it is that you need to do to remind yourself of where you came from and where you do not want to return. It's hard work, but everything in life worth having is. Good luck! Lily

I remember recently you posted that your DH had been losing some weight and you were a little freaked out that he might get smaller than you and you were considering dieting to get down farther? Do you think maybe you are putting too much pressure on yourself? Take some time out to think things over, You do deserve the thigh plasty and every other good thing that has happened to you!!! Are you eating enough in the mornings? getting in high protein in the AM?

Concentrate on dense protein like chicken, steak, pork chop, etc. I find I can eat endlessly when I allow soft protein and carbs into my diet, but when I limit myself to dense protein I still can't hold much at 2 years out. A potato chip will always appeal to me, but another piece of chicken doesn't turn me on. Then I know it's more about wanting to taste food than it is hunger. Too bad they can't do brain surgery along with the wls to take away those old cravings to fill every need with foods. Best of luck!
