Thanks Linda, I know you do the protein drinks, I didn't early on but firmly believe today that is why I'm feeling much more energy. And, I'm now addicted to them . Dana

If you are satisfied, feel good and energized...then it's working! Personally, I would be very hungry and likely end up in Peanut Butter hell or on board Cap'n Crunch's boat to the pig-outers/grazers section of the Bermuda Triangle. ...I guess I eat a lot. Hmmm.... Continued success! Karen

Thanks Karen, I'm feeling great, I still can't eat a whole lot at one time without being uncomfortable. Remember, I just hit a year out, I'm sure my intake will increase some as time passes. Dana

Looks like a great day to me! I usually cringe when I compare how much I eat w/ other grads--I'm usually in the 1500-1800 (sometimes more) range. I know the only way I can "get away with" that amount is because of my exercise routine;otherwise, I'd gain with the # of cals I eat. If I purposely drop down to 1200-1300 cals, I definitely lose. Actually, I'd like to lose 5-8 lbs. more, but my body seems real comfy where it's at, and I like what I'm able to eat, so I've just gotten satisfied w/ where I'm at and now just concentrate on maintaining. Having a hard enough time with that. I've always felt like I could eat more than I did--at every stage. Right at first, when eating only 1/4 c., I could have eaten more; ditto when I upped it to 1/3 c. and so on. I wasn't actually still HUNGRY, but I never did get the sick feeling that most people do when they pu**** I just plain made myself stop when I'd had what I should, and I ate slowly & chewed my head off. Now, at 1.5 yrs. post-op, I know I could eat even more than I do, so even though I'm rarely actually hungry, it's still a battle to discipline myself to stop when I should--and to pay attention to the fact that I'm as full as I need to be. So to me, your day looks perfect, and I envy it! Jo 295/150-155 (at goal)
