Hi to all, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes, on Thursday the 16th I had my forehead/upper and lower eyelid/face/neck lift. I have a lot of swelling and bruising of course but am doing fine. Mostly now I have discomfort instead of pain. The swelling is uncomfortable. I'm trying to be patient, but this is my face, it's really strange! Not getting out in public much because I look so scary---LOL Just wanted everybody to know I'm doing fine. Thanks again for the well wishes. Hugs, Connie

I am glad to hear everything went well. I hope you don't have too much pain/discomfort. I had my upper lids done a couple months ago, I couldn't afford to pay for the lower ones at the time and the insurance would only go for the uppers, so I will be going back again for the lowers this summer. I felt "scary" also, but I was back to work in a couple of days, with sunglasses on of course. My uppers had to be done because I had holes in my eyelid muscles and they were about to break through, I don't know if my eyes would have shut and never open again or what, but the insurance paid for it so I went for it. I now look like I am awake and alert. I love it. I know you will be very happy with your results when the swelling goes down and the bruising is gone. You probably don't look as scary as you think but I would sneak up on anyone for awhile...lol.

Thanks, Carla. How nice that insurance paid for your upper eyelids. I'm glad to hear you're pleased with your results. Right now I'm still in the "What the *&^% did I do?" stage! Hugs, Connie

Connie, I'm glad to hear you're doing well. I hope the discomfort & scary face got away soon! I want to hear all the gory details, I'm currently going for consults to have the same procedures (+ more) done soon. How did you chose your surgeon? I'm having a hard time making the decision. The ones in my area are less expensive, but there is a dr. 8 hr. away that has more experience with wls patients. Take care of yourself & post pics when you're feeling up to it. Vickie J.

Thanks for the good thoughts, Vickie! I would definitely think about the more-experienced doctor. Do you have any friends who live in the other city that you could stay with while recuperating?? Feel free to email me with any questions. Hugs, Connie

I agree, I think you look fabulous in your pictures already! I know you are so proud. I haven't been able to afford any plastics yet, but I so desperately need them and insurance denied me everything. Can't wait to see more pictures! Angie - below goal
