Joann, I HATED Celexa..it made me feel spacy, cranky and you're right..hungry! I'd want to graze constantly..I felt like a bottomless pit..I would resist the eating.but doing that made me even MORE crabby So I called my doctor and said, get me off of this now..I felt much worse on it than off it. He switched me to Wellbutrin which was so much better..no hunger..no sexual side effects and I just felt so much better. I understand how you feel..I couldn't do Celexa..we just didnt mix Have you asked the doctor? Hope it gets better though!

My daughter was on celexa for a couple years and wanted off prior to surgery. She never felt like it was making her less anxious, anyway. AND she gained alot of her excess weight while on it. Let me tell you, it was pure hell for her to come off. Dizzy beyond belief, tingling feet and hands and face, nausea, sweats. But she did it and feels so much better. Hope you find a happy solution to this! Why can't our brains just give us the right chemicals in the first place?! Linda

Joann, I am on Celexa as well. I am about to have a chat with my Psych doc because I don't think it is as effective as the Zoloft was. Most of these meds do have a reputation for (strangely enough) weight gain OR weight loss. Weird. Good luck with your house sale!

I agree. Zoloft is used for OCD as well, so this may be why it works for us. I know it took care of my head hunger totally. I'm thinking that maybe head hunger is brain chemicals gone awry. Whatever....it sure helps me. tee
