Hey Deb ... I think Tylenol has a liquid out for Cold & Flu (they have several versions of this ... for Coughs, etc.) ... maybe TheraFlu? luckily I haven't had the flu since surgery (but I have taken some of the Tylenol liquid products) ... I wish I could help!! Hope you feel better soon! Karyn

That is most likely gastroenteritis..and unfortunately I think you can probably only treat the symptoms and let it run its course. Forst, i'd call my doctor..sometimes they can prescribe something for nausea and vomiting..i've always used Peppermint Tea..it really is a wonderful natural anti emetic...as is flat diet ginger ale..or ginger tea.. As far as Diarrhea goes..you myst stay hydrated..sipping liquids..clear liquids..no dairy..try immodium..i've always used that. I know how horrible it is..but a stomach virus is one of those dreaded things that rear their head every now and then..juset rest rest rest and drink as much as you can..and call the doctor..they're always your best line of defense

Intestinal problems such as you are describing are not a flu but usually a bacterial infection which you can get from people's poor hygiene as well as from food poisoning (unfortunately, sometimes caused by someone else's poor personal hygiene--YUK!). Over the counter meds sometimes temporarily provide a little relief but are generally a waste of money, which both your local pharmacist and PCP will tell you. Lay low and stay hydrated no matter how hard that seems. The potential for dehydration is usually the most serious side effect of this illness. Water, SF gingerale, peppermint or echinacea tea, homemade ginger tea (simmer fresh ginger slice in ho****er). Remember, ginger is a very effective anti-nausea remedy. If you are not better in 2-3 days, definitely call your PCP. Been there, done that. Hope you feel better soon. Anewme
