New to the grads
Hello everyone I am new to the Grads. I was posting on the regular site when someone referred me to here. Here is a brief outline of me. I am almost 3 years out. Going into surgery I weighed 265lbs at 5'3. right now I weigh 170lbs. I have gained 20lbs and recently lost 15 of the 20 lbs. I am hoping to have some plastice done next year(when I can save enough $ for it) I would like my breast reconstructed and a TT). Could anyone tell me roughly what they cost. I exercise 3-5x a week. I was getting very careless on my eating but I have since started getting control of it. I cannot tolerate mil**** cream, or steak. I still have a rough time with alot of carbs. I tend to dehydrate anytime I get sick and I have alot of bladder, UTI, kidney infections. I also get episodes where my blood sugars go crazy. does anyone else have any of these problems. Even though I have these minor problems I would do this surgery over in a heartbeat and I recommend it to anyone who is obese.(What the heck am I talking about according to my BMI I am still obese)
I went from a size 26-28 to a size 12. Does anyone have any exercise tips to lose the stomach and firm the buttocks. I know I am asking alot of questions but how will you ever learn if you don't ask. I currently am trying to upload a new profile pic but it is taking forever
Hi Selena,
I don't post much, but I do lurk, so I am not real well known in this board, but I find every post very informative. I am 2-1/2 post-op and am down to goal. I lost slowly but did it. I have a candy monster in my house which I try to keep at bay. I have now started weight training and am feeling very good about myself (I hate exercise otherwise). I had the plastics and it ran me about 14,000 for the TT and arms. The TT was the best surgery I ever had. I never had a flat tummy, even at the age of 10, and now I have an enviable tummy. I look at the mirror and cannot believe it's me. I recommend it highly. We did get money out of our home to do it, but at my age, 55, waiting didn't make much sense. Good luck to you. I hope you get responses from others. Sometimes questions from newbies to the board do not get answered much (my own personal experience). Hugs and welcome. Missy.
