Hi Ya'll My friend just had surgery 3 weeks ago and is keeping nothing down. I don't know what to tell her that would help. She contacted her doc who ran the test and told her everything was fine. This gal cannot keep anything down, including vitamins, crystal light or boullion, and only very occasionally keeps some water or some of her protein drink. I am 2-1/2+ years out and I don't remember having that problem in the first three weeks, so I am not sure how to advice her. Any suggestions I can pass on to her? I have told her the zip zip zip zip and the walk walk walk, but what else can she try? Missy

Ran 'the test' - do you mean he scoped her for a stricture and there wasn't one??? If there's no stricture, is she nauseous? Or in pain or? (((HUGS)))

Yes, he ran the test for a stricture. She feels nauseous, has a little water, crystal light or the like, and shortly after that is visiting Ralph. Once it all comes out she feels better, but is not keeping much down. She says she has lost almost 39 pounds in a little over three weeks. I keep a close eye on her and check with her daily. I just don't remember having that feeling. I feel bad that I can't remember, but I have short-term memory loss due to other medical problems and I just can't remember in order to help her. Today was not too bad for her, but I wish she could at least keep the boullion down.

Well if the doc's checked her...sounds like she's just got one of those ultra sensative pouches. Has he offered her any anti-nausea meds? (((HUGS))) this must be rough on you too!
