PS Again, Am I Crazy?
HEY YA'LL....its your FAVORITE NYC GAL......who you never see anymore!!!!
Well, its been 3 1/2 yrs since I had WLS, I have gone from 305 to 184 (currently at around 190 since going on Birth Control a month or so ago) and having more plastics in 3 wks.
Have my arms and boobs done. Mini Arm lift and also a boob-lift/reduction. I was a 46DDD prior to surgery and am now a 36DD, wanting to be a b-cup but my dtr thinks it wouldnt look right on my sizr 10 body. So, Im gonna stick with the "full C" as he calls it.
Heres my dilema....Im scheduled the 7th....Im also a finalist for a new job and Ill fine out next week. Is this surgery doable on the 7th (a tues) and could I start a new job the following monday (13th)?????
THOUGHTS??????????????
I would think if you are having the arms done, you will not be at work the following week. I haven't had mine done but a co-worker did and she was out for 3 weeks and then only worked part time for a couple weeks. My PS told me the arms were the most painful to recover from and then you throw in the pain and trauma from the breast reduction and you would be pushing it to be to work that soon. Sorry for that feedback, probably wasn't what you wanted to hear. Good luck on the new job!
Hey--you mean the chick who went out to DQ on her way home from her tt? It was all I could do to walk from my car to an elevator and then to my hotel room. Love Miss Dolly-but I am not sure anyone could gauge their recovery on her experience. I have a vague recollection of her making a stop on her way home from her RNY to do a little risky business too. Again--she may just recover a little quicker than others. The one scary thing though is that she just had her thighs done and I hear that has knocked her for a loop. Can't imagine what it would do to me.
Oh--I'll be watching for the responses to Heather's question as that same procedure is next for me. My doc said the breasts are extremely painful.
NO WAY! I was under the impression that even after being so far out she was still sticking to the rules as they were when we all first got out of surgery. I'm wondering if we're thinking of different people or perhaps I'm a DA and got the wrong name attached to the person I was thinking of. Her profile is Dolly Parton type stuff.
I wish I could do PS - but insurance won't cover it dang it!
I had an arm lift with my belt lipectomy. It was the least painful of all my surgeries and I had the full arm lift incision to the elbow. they were very stiff and sore, like if I over exercised. I had to wear ace wraps for 2 weeks. I could not even reach to buckle my own seat belt for over a week.
I had a modifed lift with my implants and that was sore, but not real bad, I could have probably worked in a week or two after that. it just didn't interfere with my mobility the same way. I had it with a thigh lift and that is another story all together so I was off 5 weeks.
As of now, Im set for the 7th. If I get this job, it could change all of this and I was hoping to still do it. I dont dare go under the knife without health insurance or Short Term Disability, Id have to wait a yr and Ive already wited a yr (was wtg to get my iron levels up which took 9 mos).
We all know my healing history, every surgey has been met with a glitch. Open RNY, my incision opened for 2 mos, LBL, I had a whole bust open above my ass that leaked for 2 mos and then a short 6 wks later I was almost killed in a car crash!
With my luck, maybe if I get this job its a sign. WHo knows!
