I DID IT!!!
Hello my fellow Grads Peeps!!!
So good to see you all today. Sorry I have been absent the last couple of days again. Worked last night and work again tonight so I am not quite firing on all cylinders today. I have a few minutes though so I wanted to share something with you all. You are all so supportive and I can't thank you enough for making me feel welcome here!!...THANK YOU!!!
I weigh myself once a week at work and ONLY once a week. As many of you know or may remember, I posted last week about the weight I gained over the holidays and how I have been struggling with my "food demons". Well, last night I did my weekly weigh in and I reached my first personal goal of the new year. I LOST THE LAST OF THE 11 lbs I HAD GAINED!!!
I can't tell you how happy it made me. It made my whole night and really put a spring in my step. I have worked so hard at it and know it is only the beginning. I know I can continue to get more of the weight off if I keep trying. I would ultimately like to get back to where my weight loss stalled, which was 189 lbs. We'll see. I think If I really buckled down and got with the program and exercised like I should, that should be no problem!!
Well, thank you all once again for all your support and I promise to be on more tomorrow and probably Thursday. I can't wait for the weather to turn permanently warmer and more conducive to me getting off my butt. I hate being cooped up like a hermit all winter!!
Be good all and have a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!...Cap'n K-Man
Today's useless fact..."cats walk right foot, right foot, left foot, left foot, instead of right then left.".
I wonder how many of you will be watching your cats more closely today???
Congratulations on reaching your goal....It is so encouraging to see that this surgery can still work...yes, it is a bit of a struggle at times, but we made the long term comittment when we had WLS and it is nice to know there are paybacks long term also. I don't know if that mad sense but I am not clicking on all cylinders either. I worked until 11:00 last night at job # 2 and had to be at work this morning at 7:00 at job #1. Thank god I have tonight and tomorrow night off so I can get some much needed sleep and exercise. I am still working on the 10 pound regain, but I do feel like I have a handle on it. Seeing you lose the last 11 you had to lose helps push me just that much more. Thanks for the update.
Yeah Ken!!! That is such a victory. We've all been down the regain road so many times pre-op that there's a real terror when we regain a bit isn't there? And we know we CAN out-eat the surgery - but we also know we CAN lose again.
HOOOORAY!
Bette
Why, oh why did you give us that cat-fact??? Now I'm going to have to go out and observe for myself. It's like 90 zillion degrees out here now.
Gee, a walk sounds pretty fun at that - and my apoligies to my blizzard-impaired friends.
