Hello, folks! Sorry I haven't posted in a long while, but I have been lurking off and on. I just needed to get some ideas from you longer-term post-ops, about how much protein seems to work for you. I probably don't get enough of it, and that's my fault. I have to work really hard to make sure that I'm eating enough of the stuff. And I'm wondering if any of you have experienced not feeling as well as a result of not eating enough protein. I'm not sure, but I think that this is why I'm feeling more tired and run-down than I should be. Let me give you a typical day's eating for me, and maybe you could give me some input on the protein issues. Breakfast, 1/2 large whole-grain bagel with approx. 1 T of peanut butter, and a little jelly Mid-morning - fruit of some type Lunch - Lean Cuisine entree, serving of fruit, and probably a couple cookies, or other small dessert Mid-afternoon - protein bar, usually Zone Perfect peanut butter/chocolate Dinner - normally meat/veggie/potato - I usually try to eat around 3 oz of the meat Evening - snack like popcorn or pretzels Thanks in advance for your help.

When did you last have labs drawn?

Last fall - November I think it was. Everything was good, at least according to my surgeon. However, some of the levels were lower than they had been at the last draw. My copy of the labs is at home - maybe I'll bring it with me tomorrow and I can share some of the info with the folks here. Thanks for your response. I'm going home for the day but will check back in tomorrow.

It's amazing how even small drops in things can indicate a potential problem. So on to another topic lol. Do you get enough fluids in throughout the day? Lordie, I'm a nosy one, eh?
