I also wanted to thank every one *****sponded to my post a week ago.
It helped.I am now back on track and have lost 3 pounds of the 20 I gained.
Have a great day..
Tina,
I'm over 2 years post-op and I follow my Doctor's recommendations which work great for me.
He says as long as you get your fluids and vitamins in, you really only need to eat protien. He preaches Protien first and if you still have room then green veggies.
I strayed for a while, got hooked on carbs and gained 15 lbs. I went back to my doctor's recommendations and I have it all back off. I'm back at goal and mainintaining!
Good Luck!
Tom
Tom - You're absolutely: Protein, then if room, veggies. And it works! The only problem - it's really hard for some of us. I think men find it easier because most men would rather have protein than almost anything. I'm one of those people who would rather have anything than protein. So I work at it each day, some days more successfully than others. But I'm one of those who has 20 lbs of regain to lose. So if I can ever get my head around the advice of protein, then veggies, I know it will work and I'll get rid of the regain.
