Good Things

Ok now that I have released my failings, let me tell you about Maine and the good things about living in God's Country.... Marianne is doing great in school, she has 43 kids in her graduating class, 243 in the whole high school.... She is loving it, and I think next weekend I am going to be brave and get her, her driving permit, and NOOOO she will not touch my Monte.... lol We have 3 acres of beautiful land up here, with a river across the street, and a field of black raspberries bushes to go with it. We have a herd of deer in the back yard, and they are so peaceful and beautiful to watch, and of course the occasional moose that likes to be seen in the back also. Plans for this Spring are as follows, the post and rail fencing will start, and hopefully by summers end the barn and the horses will be here. I bought all the new windows for the porch last fall, and they should be in place as soon as it warms up and dry's out... Mike has put in for substitute teaching, am hoping he can do that, without getting to tired out, and I feel a little bit better with Marianne being there, to check on him now and again. Hopfully with him out of the house for a bit I can get some things accomplished here a little at a time. I really need that sense of accomplishment again, I miss it. I explained to Mike that the horses at this time are more of a need then a want, we need something to do as a family, and I am sure, that I should be ok riding.. So he is gun ho on getting the prefab barn up, and renting an auger so he can sink the posts and we can get the fencing up. Has been a real mild winter up here so far, You know I bought all the makings for the perfect Irish Coffee's for when our first blizzard came in, and so far, the bottles are still unopened... lol.. we have had more rain up here, then snow this year. Has been raining all day up here, and they are talking a little bit of ice coming in tonight. The other good things are the fast food places are 23 miles away, so I have to cook, couldn't imagine, how much weight I would have gained if we were still in Maryland. I went shopping yesterday and filled the house with good things, and threw out a bunch of other things.. so I think I am on the right track, and hopefully this time I can stay on it, as long as I can stay away from the steroids too.... Sorry if I have been a downer today, but feel better by telling you all.....
