keeping it honest...weekend.
Okay Tooter, I rounded them up as promised. I am only including my last 3 days ... after all ... I am sure you don't want nor need a day by day detailed plan of my boring life!
Keep in mind I am a LOT shorter (some have even called me petite - gonna slap them one day if I get tall enough ) than you are and my normal calorie intake is less than some ... AND I am still trying to lose some more weight ... soooooo I am still not on full calories. Plus I am still trying to find my best calorie/fat/carb/protein ratio to lose weight AND to not be dealing with crashing sugars. Also, I know you are not a fan of protein drinks, but I didn't want to leave anything out of my menu, just so you can see exactly what I am doing. Obviously you don't have to follow what I am doing ... just putting it out there to give you some idea of how I am dealing with the problem.
Something I forgot to mention ... someone also told me to make sure that I was well hydrated, because even a little bit of dehydration would cause the symptoms to worsen. AND I was also told that coffee sometime will really mess some people over ... it is my understanding that is trial and error. If you drink coffee and nothing else is working cut the coffee and see.
Add to all my meals, plenty of water, my vitamins and etc. I am doing my fool best to take care of myself.
Hugs,
Tammy

1/4 cup steel cut oats

SOOO I will be having something else yet tonight. Looks like a protein shake or smoothie may be in order - but may only be able to push a warm protein drink - we wil see!
BTW - I did have another protein shake before bed for another 24 gms of protein.

Thank you!
You know, it's funny you mention the fluid intake. I was just commenting on that in my sunday post. I do find that the better hydrated I am, the less I have the dips in sugar (reactions). Normally I push 100+ ounces daily. Today and yesterday it was more like 120 to 150 ounces and I did better. So guess I just need more than I thought. This is sure a learning experience!
(((HUGS)))
Hi Tooter,
Boy I am with you girl on the trying to add more cals, carbs and it's so hard. I find if I eat as the nut says by dinner time if I eat one more bite I am going to But if I don't eat at least every 2-3 hours I get the shakes and light headed and dizzy. I have to run and eat something like apple with peanut butter or fruit....
Try eating more often and see if that will help you, it does me
I hope you feel better soon

I had a pretty good day today.
One Egg omelet with 1/2 ounce of cheese and fresh spinach
Pure Protein Shake
Triskets and Light Laughing Cow Cheese
Salad and topping off two small slices of spinach pizza
Grapefruit.
The Relacore is really killing my appetite. I am pushing for protein shakes because I want to be sure to get at least 40g of protein. The Pure Protein ahs 35 so that's a good chunk of it in case I don't do a lot of protein the rest of the day like today.
Toots, you might try having six small meals, stretching out your protein over the six. That might help stabilize your blood sugar. Also, have you tried Chromium Picolinate - it's supposed to stabalize blood sugar and keep the spikes and falls down.
Patty
"Chromium Picolinate " ???
hmmmm ... I ordered my vits but there was a delay in shipment so I bought something just to hold me over until my shipment came in ... the new multi does not contain Chromium Picolinate ... Totally forgot about that ... But looking back, the symptoms may have started shortly after not having my regular vitamins. I wonder if there may be a connection.
Thanks so much for this post ... certainly something for me to check into futher.
BTW Patty, it is good to see you posting again! I missed your daily inspirational posts!
