Me at Goal! (picture)

Well ... *BREAKING NEWS* ... new endo called last night -- after deciphering the results from 14 tubes of blood for a full blood and thyroid screen -- and said she "can offer [me] something." Simply translated: I'm still Hashi's with normal thyroid levels but she WILL prescribe Synthroid. So the mental fogginess and residual lack of stamina should dissipate. That is outstanding for me and I'm very excited! :dance" But ... She wants me to start "pumping the brakes" (officially squeezed this small 5'7" frame into a size 6 last week) and head for "maintenance." The word resounded in my head the entire day as if I'd gotten a death sentence! I haven't been a long-term star at maintenance (as you know) and now for me is where the WLS proves its worth. As you well know, I'm pretty determined and will likely never have my open DS scar removed. I consider it a daily remember of the extreme length I've gone to stop the yo-yo syndrome and get on with my life. Long-winded way of saying ... Time I stopped lurking and officially joined the Grads Board to learn and share that maintenance is not a four-letter word! As always, my Darling Tooter ... When I do my daily gratitude list for where my journey has taken me, YOU are in the top 5. It simply would not have been as informed if not for you. We all owe you BIG TIME! I know -- in my case -- you have blessed my journey with your knowledge and your friendship. & {{{HUGS}}} & MM
