The problem with Xenical is that those who use it can no longer fart w/confidence. There is some consensus that WLS tends to increase flatulence. Nuff said? Nowhere Man/PH/Jay

Were it not for life among the tribe of would be lost boys (were it not for their mother and wife) I would require more information. However, farting with confidence, pride, and authority is a practiced and pride-filling past time in this household. I think you are on to something...the marketing genuises at Xencial OTC need only market to women. Afterall, if you take away a man's freedom to fart without consequence, you take out the man! The woman who cuts what remains of my hair is aware of my WLS. She confided in me that she was a Xenical user. About 4 months ago, well, let's just say that she made the guys in the campfire scene in Blazing Saddles seem (and sound) like amateurs. I can't imagine any person volunteering for that. No tip given for that haircut. Nowhere Man/PH/Jay

I heard on TV that the OTC (over the counter) drug would be a much lower dose. If it doubled the weight loss at it's strongest, it probably won't do much of anything when the drug is cut down. Add the side effects to the mix plus the cost and it makes no sense. They said on this same broadcast that the reason it was going OTC was that it was unsuccessful as a prescription so they are trying to make some of the research money up by going OTC.
