Hi all. I just got back from seeing the doctor. My B12 is less than 200, which she thinks is significant. She is planning on giving me 1 cc of B12 weekly for 4 weeks, then once monthly for 3 months, then rechecking my level. She also put me on lexapro. I am glad we are addressing the depression also. She says I will be less teary in a matter of a few days...lets hope so Again, thanks to anyone who is reading this, I am hoping to heal through good medicine and good therapy in this board! Tammy

Tammy, I so agree ... there are some really great people here!! Good luck on the B12 issue ... doesn't sound like fun. I really, really hope you're feeling better soon. Ditto on the good therapy found here too! Take good care Karyn

I keep my levels around 1500. I take a b12 sublingual daily and do the injections every two weeks. Low B12 can cause lots of problems. Nerve damage that is not repairable for one. Do a search on the web about B12, you will be amazed at all that it does for us. Most doctors here get real scared when they dip down to 400. Good Luck Darlene

Your depression could very well be directly related to the B12 deficiency: http://www.mts.net/~baumel/B12.html Some other B12 sites: http://www.johndommissemd.com/report4.html http://www.epic4health.com/areyouvitb12.html http://www.health-boundaries-bite.com/B12-Malabsorption-Illness.html B12 deficiency is pretty much a given with us. That's why we should take our sublinguals every day, plus it doesn't hurt to get the shot at least monthly... Which reminds me... I really need to make an appointment to see how I'm doing! Angie
