No problem Michelle stays very on top of research on calcium and iron, as I understand it. Heck of a nice person too

[just grins broadly] Very very cute, kp - can I watch the next time you forget????? [wink wink - they do say SEEING is BELIEVING] Because I am taking Trinsicon to bolster my iron and b12, I take that the second I open my eyes. About an hour and a half after that, I take the calcium, ALA, multi and a few other things with my oatmeal at work. I take additional vitamins with lunch................ additional calcium citrate and stuff when I get home and Trinsicon again at bedtime.

For years and years I used to take everything at once first thing in the morning. Then I found out I shouldn't be taking my thyroid meds with calcium or iron. So I changed things around, and it has really messed with my remembering to take everything. I take the synthroid and cytomel first thing in the morning. Sometimes I take vitamins and calcium at lunch at work, but sometimes I get crazy busy and forget. My last chance of the day is to take the vitamins and calcium just before I climb into bed. Two days per week at work I should also take my iron supplement, but I forget that, too--shouldn't take that with the thyroid meds or the calcium, either. I still sometimes forget at bedtime, then when I'm already warm and toasty under the covers I'm not going to get up and take them. I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat anytime, so I've not noticed any increase in energy preventing me from falling asleep when I take them at bedtime. My labs have been coming out OK, so I guess maybe I'm not forgetting as often as my swiss cheese brain thinks I am. I've debated hanging a sign on the bathroom mirror reminding me to take them, but I guess eventually I'd habituate to the sign hanging there, too. I've not yet tried putting a reminder in my daily calendar at work, so it would pop up on the screen every day to tell me to take them at lunch time. Then my PDA would even beep at me on the weekend with a reminder. good luck figuring out what works for you, sue O.

The first thing I do when I get home is go into the bathroom, where I keep all of my vitamins in a cute basket on the counter, put them in a dixie cup and they go right next to "my chair." I take them after eating and while I am watching the news. If I don't do it this way, I will NEVER remember. I tried taking them at work during the day, but kept forgetting. Good luck finding what works for you. Connie

I made a post here... but to save time, I removed it and gave myself a warning. Tek
