I haven't been following the messageboard recently, so I don't know what this thread is about. Are you following a certain eating plan that has "feedings"? I'm really curious about this. I basically eat 5-6 mini-meals (or 3 small meals and 2-3 small healthy snacks). Is that what you're doing, or are you following something like Jorge Cruise's 3-Hour Diet (the one Al Roker is doing)? I have done 6 feedings a day (3 'meals' 3 'snacks) throughout my entire 'journey'....never even heard of Jorge Cruise lol. The purpose of this thread is to 'keep it honest' - and that means different things to different people. Basically, its a what-did-you eat today post, and you just put down what info YOU feel is important. Not everyone (as you can see) is as anal about counting as I am being - heck, I'm not even normally this anal. I just decided it was time to REALLY see what I was eating. Ya know? So no rules - other than to be honest with yourself. (((HUGS)))

Jorge Cruise is just another guy out to make a buck telling people how to lose weight. *BIG YAWN* Someone gave me one of his books as a Christmas present one year. Aren't human bein's the funniest damn thing? I do feedings too =) My endocrinologist is the one that got me hooked on this way of eating. When I was diagnosed with diabetes, she had me start eating like this, and explained why. It was the first time in my life where an eating plan actually made sense to me AND made me feel BETTER instead of worse. So it only made sense that I continue this way after surgery. Michele

I think I'll jump on this thread after all. I like keeping it honest. Feeding 1 - blueberry nonfat yogurt with handful of organic granola and nuts and seeds. Feeding 2 - 1/4 cantelope Feeding 3 - Grilled chicken salad with baby spinach greens (out) with a herb biscuit (the biscuit wasn't the best choice, but it tasted good) Feeding 4 - some gingersnaps (while babysitting grandchild) Feeding 5 - will be some homemade salmon corn chowder and crusty bread (made by step-son) Feeding 6 - not sure yet - maybe nothing since I didn't choose wisely earlier. This is reminding me that I haven't had nearly enough H20. Going to get some now before grandchild wakes up from nap. Betsy

Well I didn't do as well as anticipated in feeding 4 & 5. We had dinner with my step-son and had salmon corn chowder, but it was made with heavy cream. If that wasn't bad enough, I had a few bites of full-fat, full sugar ice cream, which I rarely ever do. Now my tummy doesn't feel so good. I'm going to bed to sleep it off. Arggghhh... Betsy

going to the gym is the ONE thing that I do only for myself. My time to take care of me. I take a lot of responsibility for caring for my grandkids, kids, husband, patients, and I am learniing that I have to take care of me too. Besides the physical benefits of exercise it helps me cope with depression, and I just put on my headphones and only think about what I am doing. Love yoga class, sometimes I get so focused on my body and what I am doing I go almost into a trance and the restof the world dissapears.
