Personal choice to post or not...I think its helpful though when we're honest about what we eat. I mean, I used to abstain from posting on the what you ate post because I thought I ate a LOT - but got brave one day - and tons came out of the woodwork telling me they were thrilled to know that THEY weren't alone. How weird, huh? I crave Dove Dark Chocolate this time of year (in the pretty red velvet box!)

I LOVE food! Sadly surgery didn't change that. I have to admit, I like the protica profect stuff, but I can't chew it so it's on reserve for special needs days

Hmmm... yesterday... so long ago... Wake-up: Double shot skim latte w/ sugar free vanilla syrup - 2 tsp (I got a machine for Christmas!! Woo Hoo!! Caffeine city. I drank water for the rest of the day Breakfast: scrambled egg w/ a few pieces diced ham and a sprinkle of cheese Snack: a handful of pistachios (in their shell, not a handful of kernels) Lunch: Lean Cuisine spa cuisine lemongrass chicken (yum and has whole grains too!) Snack: a handful of high fiber kashi cereal Dinner: Chicken breast, asparagus Evening meltdown: a few grapes, handful of wheat thins, 2 small peppermint patties, a couple of hershey kisses. A few squares of dark chocolate w/ dried rasperries. Oops. Don't know what all that adds up to, but I think I could use more veggies. Today so far: Coffee: Double shot skim latte w/ sf vanilla Breakfast: Cottage cheese w/ splenda and a handful of raspberries Snack: Pistachios Lunch: Lean Cuisine spa cuisine chicken in peanut sauce (Yes, they were on sale this week, I bought a ton). Currently... I'm thinking about another cup of coffee and some mean and nasty person brought homemade snowball cookies to work. My friend tried one though and said they were stale. Thank God. Linda

Hi there, I read your post with interest. I have a suggestion for you. Quit the Pepsi. The fizziness makes the stoma open up and if you get past 13 centimeters, your food will just fall through. It has happened to a friend of mine. Hers went from 12 to 20 and now she is going through treatments to close it back up. If you find you can eat anything and get hungry in between, this is why. I believe we are also supposed to be drinking a lot of water (which I find hard to do also) and supplementing with protein drinks in-between for optimal protein intake. Just a suggestion. Marilyn "R"

Thanks. Not a problem I've had to deal with in ages thankfully Sucks about your friend. My surgeon believes those things happen regardless - he's had it happen to soda and non-soda drinkers alike. Some people suffer strictures (exceptional healers) and some just have very elastic stomas. I've not found any studies to support that soda stretches anything; not to say it can't though - and thankfully, not in my case. Well anyway, I DO appreciate the imput. Hugs, Toots

I'll hop on this train--- Yesterday (close to typical) 7:30- 2 cups DeCaf with a "splash" of Slim-Fast Low Carb Vanilla Cream in each. 8:00- 6 oz Carb Control Yogurt with couple of tablespoons of all bran cereal mixed in. 9:00- (More coffee w/ SLM-FST) 10:30- Handful of raw almonds and a string cheese. 12:30- Large Grilled Chicken Breast Skinless/boneless, Tiny salad, mostly tomatoes, onions, cucumbers in olive oil vinaigrette. 2:00- 1cup DeCaf with a "splash" of Slim-Fast Low Carb Vanilla Cream in it. (Finished off the can of 'S-Fst'- 25gs Protein) 3:30- 6 oz Carb Control Yogurt with handful of sunflower seeds. 6:30- Crab Legs (a lot! but no butter) 4 ozs of Sashimi (tuna mostly) 4 medium shrimp. 9:30- Boiled egg , an apple, 6 Kalamata olives. I also eat on a fairly- "Now it's Time" schedule That has nothing to do with me being hungry or not. I plan and pack the small "snacks" in my bag. And have the larger "Meals" from a range of local restaurants. This is my "on the road" typical intake. I have "kitchenette" this trip. I pick up stuff to keep in my room fridge. Not counting Carbs, Calories or any of that right now. Just doing what I usually do, and "Eyeballing" My choices and amounts while on the road. I also got in my Iron, Vitamins, Calcium, And right at 6 liters of water. At home, I also usually toss a little Unjury Protein Powder And teaspoon or two of Flax seed Meal into my food as well. Today same so far (boring) but headed out for pastrami for lunch! Best Wishes- Dx
