bourngorno bellas and bellos, you know i love this board and its called the grads boards right?...for people who have been out a while post-op who come here to share ideas, food, things, yes we have moved on to a differnt stage on our lives with wls.. we have differnt issues about food than we did before.. we can proudly wear the t shirt been there done that got the shirt to wear.. i am not pollyanna by no means trust me i can be a biootch and cranky just as much as the next person..i see some posts on main message boards and say omg are they seroiyus?? well i blame the surgeons because they do not give good after care and i also think because some new post-ops dont know what to eat they post about what they ate ..yes we are in control of our own journys but some people only have this place to find out or are to lazy to look up food and protien..who knows i dont.... we all complain about the drama on the main message boards but all kidding aside really read the posts here on the grads boards its not even about our lives now and how things are differnt for us its complaints about the posting on the main message boards..we seem to have our own little drama complaing about main boards.. hey if they want to eat sometghing we didnt eat let them ..not our stomachs.. lets get back to a grads boards not the i cant stand the posts on the main board forum ok? lately thats all it seems to be is a venting place about postings on main boards.. happy new year joann lifes a ride enjoy it

So what you're saying is that we shouldn't complain about the Main Board, but it's ok to complain about the complainers of the Main Board?? As for my new life, I can hardly believe the changes in just one year!! I'm happy and healthy in my tiny little size 4s and I wish I could get my spending under control. Thankfully I have some dandy consignment shops here, so I can buy gorgeous designer clothes and shoes at rock bottom prices. This weekend I got a pair of NEVER worn Bruno Magli ($300+) shoes for $45!! I love being able to move and exercise and feeling so good about myself physically! This surgery was certainly a life saver AND a life changer!!! What's your biggest change that you're thankful for, Joann? Jan

im saying that we shoulkd just be happy about our lives be grateful and the complainers on the main board let them complain..we have moved on in our lifes we should just be hapopy with our lives..if someone wants to eat pizza let them ..if they want to complain that they ate something and should off let them ..this board here should be for our life style now not complaining about what new post ops eat.. and as for me im happy and thankful for my life now and i never said i wasnt.im not looking to start a fight or flame war im just giving my opion the way every one else here gives thier opion funny thing if you give a diffdrnt opion of what other people want to hear peoples pantys get twisted and out of shape here also just like the main board. have a nice day and enjoy life i know i sure am.. I agree. I saw a thread there recently where someone complained that that's all we were doing over here, and I thought she had a good point. I mean, what is the point of gloating about how we're all so much smarter now than they are . . . as if we all didn't do a little ****ing up to wind up on *any* of the AMOS boards in the first place? I used to frequent the Yahoo OSSG WLS board until I found the format overwhelming to deal with (scrolling through fifty LOL/how's your cat/mine's fine kind of posts to get to the meat of it). But here, I suspect some of my favorite posters there would be criticized for having an agenda (such as, protein shakes are good, doctors mess up, the sort of thing that's shut down here pretty promptly). It's a good thing if the boards have different personalities and points of view, I guess, but I must confess this board seems mostly to be about sneering at others' failures and shutting down many opinions as arrogant or not sufficiently fact-based to be heard, and on the whole, it makes this board pretty useless IMO.

Brief hijack--Hi Susie! How the heck are you? Happy New Year! I know you lurk around sometimes but glad to see you post as I always enjoy reading your view on things. I despise the Yahoo board format--call me slow, but I just can't figure an easy way to read them. Anyhow--are you planning any trips down my way this winter. the weather is pretty darn nice you know. Just wanted to say a quick hi.

Hi Jan, I just discovered two consignment shops in my area. Isn't it exciting. I just can't afford to buy the expensive new Macys clothes anymore. It just killed my budget last year. I kept dropping a size every month and buying all new clothes. Wish I knew of these places before. One of my new years resoultion is also to get my spending under control. I bought a notebook and starting today I write down where every penny goes. I can already tell I am making a difference. I didn't buy a skirt today because I didn't want to write it down. This is my year to get out of debt since last year was my year to get skinny. Good to see I am not the only one suffereing this delimma. Hey maybe we should start a board on it. Hugs 302/153/155 6"0
