What is your goal today?
Candi,
Quitting smoking was the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life so far, and that includes WLS. I'll keep you in my prayers and my fingers crossed (cover all bases). On the positive side, it gets easier pretty quickly. The first few days are the worst but once you start getting the nicotine out of your system, it gets progressively easier. Good luck! You can do it!

It's probably all a mind thing, but when I quit, when I wanted a ciggie really bad, I'd take the deepest breath I could and then hold it for as long as possible. Then I'd exhale and when all the air was gone, I'd try to exhale just a little bit more a couple of times. I SWEAR some of the tar and nicotine in my lungs was released doing that little exercise and I'd feel better. The other thing is that the inhaling really deeply was sort of a response to wanting to inhale a ciggie.
Keep at it!! Quitting is SOOOO much better for your health, for the way you smell and it's so much more socially acceptable and you'll save so much money that you can then spend on clothes!!
Good luck and Happy 2006!!
My goal today was to get in some exercise, and I've already done that!
