Joni, I have a good friend who has been battling the same thing this past two years and I won't lie to you...it's been a difficult journey. She was diagnosed just 3 days after adopting a much longed-for, long awaited son. But God is good, and there have been many days filled with unexpected gifts and blessings; outpourings of love and amazing support. And we're still standing and we expect to, with God's grace, still be here for a long time to come. Know that you, and all those who love you, will be in my prayers every day. Julie

I meant what I said, so yesterday in Sunday School, I added your name to the prayer list of some very godly women who then all prayed for you. My prayers will continue so please keep us updated!! Jan

Joni, You are in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks goodness for your family and health centered approach...sounds like you have an early diagnosis and a solid mapped out plan for treatment. May the amazing world of medicine be by your side, and may you see the faces of your children as you gather your strength to win every day, and the faces of your grandchildren in the future! Karen

Joni, While I was going through all of my complications and waking up from my coma, I questioned, why god let me live and so many other good people didn't. I really shouldn't be here today, and I still sometimes feel so unworthy. When I went through my second surgery just recently, I was sooo afraid that it almost crippled me. I was a big bag of emotions, crying one moment laughing the next all in private. I didn't people to know how terrible the fear was. There was one thing someone said to me and although it seemed kind of har**** helped me "deal" "If it your time to go, it is your time to go and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it! So go tell the people that you love, that you love them and live your life right everyday!" You are in my thoughts and prayers!! Amy

Joni, So sorry to hear your news. I'm glad they found out what the problem is so they can begin treatment. Keep us updated. I always think of that phrase as 'God will help us bear anything we're going through' and that has been true for me as well. I wish for you 'the peace that passes understanding' (Phil. 4:4-7) Linda
