Well, of course it looked like a slam if you read the WORDS I wrote!!! Silly man!! But it was a JOKE!! JEST!! WHATEVER!!!! You were supposed to read between, above and under the words and see beyond the obvious!!! I know you laughed!!! At the very least you smiled!! You weren't actually in the LEAST bit insulted!! I'm new to rny but old to wls 23 yrs old...I got zero help from my surgeron except for the fact he rerouted my guts and made them work after being turned down by 4 surgeons. I finally got a diet 7 weeks after my surgery from teh doctors office..they thought because I had one before I didn't need help...Well thats my take on it..and I thank God I haven't had any real problems.. His nut was just that a nut ..I called about pain oh thats normal I called about I can't eat oh your stomach is only the size of a --I don't remember what she said I was in tears..I'm computor stupid so I didn't even know how to find things on the computor ..And I use those words because those were the words I was e-mailed when I was asking for help from the board And you know who you are.. I was told I didn't deserve this surgery..to stupid for not having researched it.(personal e-mail) .It was an emergency surgery pretty much.. 36 hours ,,,4 1/2 drive to doctor then home get ready and back.. when I went into surgery I didn't even know what I was going to come out with nobody did..You may be running into more people like me I releize I'm your first of this kind. So I forgive all the sensless comments because you didn't know better and truly 99.99% of you are awsome people.. It seems much of your reply was to nameless "you know who you are people" rather than me, but some may have been directed at me, so I thought I should respond... My belief is that the vast majority of surgeons educate their patients. If people have questions, the first, second, and third place they should ask is their surgeon. Pre-op, only the surgeon knows what they intend to do and how. Post-op only the surgeon knows what they did and how. NOONE on this or any message board knows what the surgeon did. We have not all had the same surgery. Even those that have had RNY have had different amounts bypassed, our pouches are different sizes and shapes. Again, the surgeon knows these details, not strangers on the internet. To think that these differences do not affect nutritional choices, supplimentation, or anything else is nonsense. To make it clear, You and I have never corresponded via email, nor have we interacted much on the messageboard as far as I recall, so I am not one of those people that told you you don't deserve surgery. Frankly, I don't care who has surgery or not, and how much information they have before hand. Its their life, not mine. I have come out of meetings and seminars where people said they did not get information, even when I know they DID. I've seen people described as rude in a situation when they were not. I've seen people say their surgeon has no aftercare when I know the contrary to be true. I sorta lost your thought in the middle to end of your post, not exactly sure what you are saying. Well sweetie.. Tek no.no.no .no.no. it was not you ..I personally understand 90% of your humor.. The person that called me STUPID ( a word I intensally hate) in a personal e-mail because I didn't research the surgery and can't use the computor properlly is who I forgive.the second was a differant person that HASN'T been on THIS board and watches her mouth.now.she said in a personal e-mail I didn't DESERVE the surgery because I hadn't researched it. she is forgiven also.. I feel if you anyone posts its on the board for all to see it up for grabs to answer by ALL differant kinds of people in all differant states of mind I have a way to skip over it..take it or leave it.Personal e-mails esp if ugly and sptiful. are not called for..Nobody is God even the surgeons I did not direct this entire post to anyone.. it was mostly information about me..and the empty book of information I got or didn't get.and how I got treated my the doc why I posted this is I didn't get information.And I understand the doubts..But I had 36 hours between the time I was told these are the possiblities (with the possibiliy of losing my stomach altogether) and the scar tissue in my throat and nose was at tough ends too..ands get my life in order I had been deathly sick Which was very nerve racking.. I even had a very hard time finding someone to take me to the hospital to have the surgery.. There are others people out there that will be coming to this board with old gastroplasys some did good like myself and some well they are looking to start over.And might be learning as we go.situtation.... What makes me sad is we have the right to agree, disagree,..some people do it in a joking way and its not recieved as such..To that I say reread it (whats the persons personality.). if you wear tight undies and they bother you get bigger one... The way you post gets me to thinking..not in a bad way I'd love to be able to post createively (see I can even spell right).. haven't figuered out spell check on here yet without losing things.I will though My second post was posting how I servived not follow the rules,,which actually in the horse and buggy day the rules could have been put on a post it..I don't bragg about it..not saying I'm right by anymeans.. just that many were talking about making a book or thread of good things to follow because the same question are asked over and over..Which is bothersome but again you don't want to answer skip over it...Sticking a fork in you eye certainly is alot more trouble than skipping over it this to me is as exaspering to read as the over and over again posts...So just skip over right... Now NO wining about the fork thing please I am short on cash so I can't send any cheese to go with it ...Tek,So shall we call it a truce..or friend s or what ever people call it when a misunderstanding has been openly discussed... Also I don't know what your pictures is that you use ...yes stupid me... I'm not a TV buff if I google your name will it tell me?? Are we ask me any other questions that you think might need to be answered to help explain why and what I said.. Ok so now can I ask a learning question.??.what could I have done better with these posts to make them more understood (other than to not having posted them.) I'm ok with any answers if you don't use the word stupid.. Where is the data to back all this up? I keep getting slammed when I post. Where's the data? My surgeon says 120 grams supplemented a day. Here's were your going to run into problems...each surgeon is different. I would just reccommend they click on the Q & A tabl... Darlene
