need some experts advice

I hope its ok that I am posting here--i am schedule for WLS on 1/16 and wanted to hear from those of you who have had WLS, if any of you have experienced staple line failure? leaks, fistulas and or any other complication that has required a 2nd surgery???

Lori, I have had an internal hernia, which caused an obstruction. It did require a 2nd surgery, which I don't have insurance to cover, and it was VERY painful. I hope that all goes well and your not one of the lucky few of us who have complications. Good Luck

I and my husband also have had no complications. We are both over 2 years out. We had RNY and are transected, so no staple line failure is possible. Check with your surgeon and ask if he transects---it does make a difference in possible complications.
