Hi Everyone DH took an offer at Intel in Colorado Springs and he starts work on the 16th of Jan. We will be flying maybe on the 3rd for 5days to look for a house. We have never been to Colorado, but hear it's beautiful. We are originally from New Jersey, but moved to Kissimmee, Florida 21 years ago. I can't believe I'm leaving my children, grandchildren, friends, church and support group. I know God is in control and will take care of all our needs. My questions are to those who live in the Colorado Springs area. I'm in need of a good support group and a Surgeon. Also intrested in OA meetings and any Celebrate Recovery meetings. All info will be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to meeting some of you! Your Gastric Buddy, Jeannie I did post this on the Colorado State Board and The Main Board too!

Look up in Peers, Susan Maddy from Co Springs. She is a very successful post-op and would be a great resource for you. You will recognize her picture in an instant---She has that great smile. Lots of good churches in that area too for support.

WOW --- Colorado Springs! My daughter did 11 weeks of mission work at a church not far from there between her junior and senior year in high school. She feel in love with the area. With Focus on the Family out there it has to be a wonderful place to live. And I think company "Current Catalog" is out there because she got to shop at their outlet store or something like that. What an exciting new adventure for you. I'm sure those kids and grandkids will HAVE to come see you in such a wonderful part of the country. DeeDee

So much to look forward to DeeDee. A lot of adjusting too, but I know that God will be our guide and strength! Missing our grandchildren will be the hardest adjustment of all. I do plan on flying them out from time to time. They will love it, I'm sure. Did you mention shopping? It's what I'm famous for. I will need a place to shop for new warm clothing that's for sure. Brrrrrrrrrrr...... Well, thanks for your reply and I hope all is well w/you. Sounds like TJ's party was a success! Jeannie

Jeannie, Glad you finally know your future. Paola from the main board should be a wealth of informations and she seems like such a sweet gal. I think you will like Colorado but it will be hard being away from all that is familiar. Just be prepared for cold and snow..... I look forward to having you miles closer. May be able to meet in person someday! Lucy
