Monday Morning Question?
Good Morning!
New Question,
Less thought provoking
But perhaps fun.
We see each other out on the boards
And have for a while,
And we tend to have an impression
Of what that person must be like.
We can sometimes predict or expect
Certain types of Posts or Replies.
We get to know the quirks of the
Folks who make up this group.
Many of us have faces that we associate
With the posts, Laughing, smiling,
Or even, constantly changing.
But, with the exception of those who have met
In the real non-cyber world,
We are all just pixels on a monitor
To one another actually, and it is only
Our imagined versions of one another that
We connect with. Follow?
I've only met a couple of my Mississippi "Peeps"
Off the boards in real life,
And those while they were in the hospital
Usually under heavy drugs.
But I got a call from the "Queen of Mississippi"
Arlies Q, and I remember saying to her-
"You Sound Just Like Yourself!"
So here's the question-
What in the world do you sound like?
I imagine DeeDee
As the consummate Southern Politicians Wife
But what does that really sound like?
How would you most accurately
Describe your voice?
Deep? High? Regional Accent?
Do you sound "Like" someone
We might have heard on TV or in films?
I'll start-
You know Ron White on Blue Collar Comedy?
Half that,
And Half, Kelsey Grammer (Frazier Crane)
And that's me.
As if A Southern Bar Owner
Had trained to be
A Shakespearean Actor,
But never lost his accent
Or completely lost his vocal mannerisms.
Deep, Lows and High Highs like Frazier Crane
As well as the sometimes
"Pear Shaped Vowel sounds,"
But with that Flat Country Southern
Delivery and some of the accent of Ron White.
Someone once said my Voice
Was like Dan Rather doing a Tennessee Williams Play.
I hope that was a compliment!
So?
What or Who do you Sound like?

Just hoping to have the little voice in my head
That accompanies reading your posts
Somewhat match the real deal!

Who were raised in Kentucky.

Despite growing up in Minnesowda, I don't sound like Marge from Fargo. Now living in Virginia I don't sound like Pat Robertson (thankfully.) I spent most of my youth in Idaho where there is a very neutral accent. Not much of a western twang there. So I think I sound like a bland neutral TV broadcaster trying to hide a regional accent. Blah, boring

I wouldn't even know how to begin to describe what I sound like....but there is a link on my profile to the marriage proposal which was done live on the radio here in town....so I can be heard there. I sound like a moron
