hernia surgery coming up

HI all, in less then two weeks I will have my hernia fixed, its huge. its just under the sternum and is about 6 inches long but stickes out a lot. I have put off buying any new clothes or even night clothes because the surgeon is also going to remove some of the extra skin so I have no idea what size I will wear once the swelling goes down. My surgery is scheduled for 10am on Dec 13. I hate to have surgery again but I am actually looking forward to this one, I am tired of having to "hide" my belly because it looks like I am pregnant. Hi Donna, It's hard as the time draws closer isn't it. Before ya know it you will be on your way to recovering though. I am a little over 2 weeks out from my TT/hernia repair and yes, still don't know what size I am gonna be. May not buy any more clothes for another 6 months. I even dug out some really large jeans to hide my drains, binder, swelling etc. I am going back to work at 3 weeks and getting nervous about that. Snowfall is starting in our area and I am even nervous about driving. Just call me Nervous Nellie. Ah well I am rambling. Happy for you that you are almost there. Hope you have someone to spoil you rotten over the holidays! Lucy
