WLS long time grads?

I was hoping to find out the longest anyone has had RYN surgery? Please respond I would like to have an outlook for long term exspectations. Thanks, Jamie

I'm in the third month of my 5th year post op. I hardly consider myself long term as there must be many who are farther out than me. Someone noted Craig T. of 8+ years. Myrtle (forget her last name) I believe had her surgery before me. ...certain there are more. Maybe you can access by surgery date? Good luck. Karen

A woman in my support group brought in her mom who had an RNY 25+ years ago. She was healthy, strong and active. (and still taking her flintstones vitamins and tums!)

There are many out there that are over 15 + years. Is there a specific reason for asking this? Darlene

A dear LONG time friend of mine is featured in my surgeon's website: (add www.) allina.com/ahs/mercyunity.nsf/page/pictures. She had surgery in 1980! Is that long enough? She's been my inspiration. Ann
